2A BBC TV serial in five parts, broadcast in 1973. This was the third time the BBC had adapted ''Literature/JaneEyre''; they would do so again in [[Series/JaneEyre1983 1983]] and [[Series/JaneEyre2006 2006]]. Directed by Joan Craft, it starred Sorcha Cusack and Creator/MichaelJayston. This is one of the few ''Literature/JaneEyre'' adaptations which follows the novel closely.

7* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Grace Poole shows up upon the arrival of Jane on Thornfield Hall in the first part. In the novel, she appears after Jane finished her first day teaching Adele some lessons.
