1	* The Terenzi Brothers survived the explosion of their ice cream truck while still inside it when it was thrown by the big bad monster clown... they ''hid in the freezer with all the ice cream.'' After the spaceship exploded, the burned out truck fell at a great height, ''and they still managed to survive in one piece after all that!''
2	** It's a movie about alien clowns who wrap people in cotton candy cocoons and drink their blood through curly straws, man! Lighten up!
3	*** It's the Headscratchers page, it's the appropriate place on the wiki for it.
4	** They are clearly experienced rogues and simply made their Reflex save for zero damage.
5	** The freezer walls were fireproof, shatterproof, and cushioned. These guys must love their ice cream.
6	** It was made by the same people who made the fridge that Indiana Jones survived a nuke in.
7	** It wasn't the freezer they landed in, it was the clown car (klown kar?) that one of the main trio also escaped in. It's reasonable to deduce that it was the alien ship's equivalent of an emergency landing pod, hence was built to be safe in a crash. The Terenzis presumably survived the explosion in the ice cream freezer, left the burning truck off-camera (popsicles in hand) to hide in the clown car.
8	* Are the clowns ''actually wearing clown makeup'', or is that their natural coloring?
9	** According To A DVD Extra they're Space Slugs that Happen too look like Clowns So I'd Guess it's their natural coloring.
10	** The Klown-spawn that sprout from the popcorn on Debbie's clothes are white-faced, and they certainly wouldn't have had access to make-up in her laundry hamper, so presumably they're born (hatched?) that way.
11	* Ok I understand what the Cotton Candy does. But why capture humans in balloons as well? Aside from it being the only plot device to excuse them from killing off Debbie.
12	** FridgeHorror: There are only two female Klowns. [[MarsNeedsWomen Guess what they were keeping Debbie for?]]
13	** Live humans make for fresh stock!
14	** Alternately, they were planning on [[PeopleFarms raising livestock]] back home.
15	* The Klowns kill everybody else they get the opportunity to so why do they only take Debbie hostage?
16	** They probably had different plans for her, like using Debbie to give birth to delicious children. That's what farmers do to cows and chickens.
17	** Three points:
18	*** 1) If I remember correctly, there are a few dozen balloons and the police officer even says "There might be some people in here." They were taking quite a number of people hostage.
19	*** 2) When released, Debbie is alive, if a bit light headed. That could be because she didn't have oxygen in the balloon, or it could have been the balloon kept her in suspended animation.
20	*** 3) We see the cotton candy VERY quickly liquefies the victims, as one of the clowns is able to drink the blood in what I would guess was only a few hours.
21	*** So, with these in mind, I have two theories. As people have mentioned above, the clowns intended to use the survivors as breeding stock. They got an assortment of males and females (multiple balloons) so they would have a diverse gene pool. The other theory is that the cotton candy cocoons cause the body/blood to spoil too quickly. By putting a fair amount of victims in the balloons, which don't kill and keep the person in suspended animation, they would have a longer supply of blood for their journey back home. Think of it as having lots of fresh food to eat today, but also some canned foods to eat next week.
22	** Only two female Klowns were seen in the movie, and they curiously seemed more amorous than murderous. The only other person trapped in a balloon whose gender is known was some guys wife. [[MarsNeedsWomen They're probably abducting human women to transform into female Klowns]].
23	* Even if this question ''does'' get addressed in the film, the audience often wonders just where in space the Klowns come from, if they have a home planet, and if there are any more of them out there in space.
24	* What time and season is it when the film begins? It's night, and the local make-out point is crowded, suggesting a late hour, but so is the local fast food restaurant, suggesting it's earlier in the evening. It would make more sense of it's a cold season, so the sun would go down earlier, and Mike and Debbie wear sweaters throughout the film, but there are leaves on trees.
25	** The film takes place in a coastal California town, so everything would make sense if it's a fall or winter month in the early evening on a weekend. California has a lot of evergreen trees, leaving verdant areas green throughout the year. The sun goes down around 5:30 - 6:00. The weather is cool but not cold, enjoying California's mild coastal climate, so people can dress in sweaters or short sleeves as they will. The teens are not yet into heavy making-out, as the night is still young, and people are still sitting down for dinner. The fact that teens are meeting up at make-out point and college students are drinking in the park suggest that no one has class tomorrow.
26	* If [[spoiler:the Klowns are killed by getting their noses popped]], why aren't they wearing any form of protection? Could have saved them a lot of trouble.
27	** It could very well be possible that due to how they may have interacted with humans before, they probably assumed that no one would try it because they never had any difficulty with the humans before. As pointed out above, it's clear that they're the reason why we may have a fear of clowns. And if these space beings were mistaken for gods by early humans, it's safe to say no human in their right might would attempt to try to kill them and just try to flee from them if they can.
28	** Also, as people with large noses can attest, trying to wear something rigid on your schnoz for an extended period of time can be rather uncomfortable (could also be a breathing problem).
29	* The Terenzi Brothers get separated from the others and wind up meeting two female clowns aboard the big top. And judging by the lipstick covering them one can only guess what they went through. Are the females not evil? Is it only the males that are evil?
