!!''Anno Dracula''
* Genevieve Dieudonne, an Elder vampire, takes on the Carpathian Guard member Vardalek, who had started sexually harassing a publican's son and made it clear that he was going to rape him. The fight is a CurbStompBattle in Genevieve's favour, with [[TokenGoodTeamMate Kostaki]] siding with her against his fellow guards, preventing the fight from escalating even further and offering his respect to her.
* Though the rest of the chapter is prime NightmareFuel, Kostaki finds Vardalek in what can only be described as a sex dungeon, having killed one boy already and practically torturing the other. He takes a second to take in what he's seeing, then declares "no exceptions" and has his comrade brought up to be executed... but not before ordering the man who sold him out to be impaled and left to die a slow death.
* A group of human dissidents - joined by a disguised vampire agent - rescue several young religious girls from the Carpathian Von Klatka (one of the oldest and most powerful vampires in Britain), who intends to take them back to his barracks to share them in an 'orgy'. With a flair for the dramatic, they [[NoKillLikeOverKill slice open his chest, then plant lit dynamite within before his wound heals over]]. Prime Minister Ruthven's dark humor about it later in a meeting is the icing on the cake.
--> "As our American cousins might have it, that's the Carpathian Guard all over," Ruthven remarked.
* Captain Kostaki is imprisoned in the Tower of London, overseen by Nosferatu himself, Graf Orlok, who inspires horror and revulsion in even his fellow vampires. The Captain's [[BadassBoast response]]?
--> "I spent six decades in the [[Literature/TheCountOfMonteCristo Chateau d'If]]. These are by comparison quite comfortable quarters."
* Beauregard presenting his gift to the Royal Couple at the climax of ''Anno Dracula'': Jack Seward's silver knife, which Queen Victoria uses to end her life and her horrific captivity.
-->"It is a gift. But not for you. For my Queen."
* The Elephant Man throwing Beauregard and Genevieve Charles's silver-tipped sword cane, giving them the means to escape with their lives. He then willingly sacrifices himself to [[YouShallNotPass slow down Dracula's rampage through the corridors]].
* Genevieve [[RefugeInAudacity playing the part of distressed fleeing civilian, telling the Carpathian Guard that the queen has just died and that Dracula is in trouble]]. The narrative notes that the Guard leader tries not to look ''too'' pleased at the prospect of saving his boss as he and his troops rush down the corridor... right into Dracula and both sides knock each other over. Doubles as a Funny moment.

!!''The Bloody Red Baron''
* The vampire Ball, already horrifically mutilated and burnt to the extent that his flying uniform is fused to his flesh, is captured by vampires and tied in a crucifix position. Using his new crooked stance to maneuver himself, he gnaws off his own hand, then stakes one of his awoken captors with his own arm bone.
* The first time the mutant vampire man-bats of Jagdgeschwader 1 fight Allied Condor Squad, it's a total rout and the Allies are crushed. However, they remain brave to the end, and Biggles gets thrown from his plane after shooting a man-bat in the face with his flaregun. The text even mentions how unflappable he is, seemingly about to die. Despite falling, he somehow survives and makes his way back to the Allied lines by the end of the war.
