* FanonDiscontinuity: ''Many'' fans hate "Wrestling" with a passion. Reasons given are that the plot flat-out ''shouldn't happen'', considering how Coach Peters should've been kicked off the campus immediately in real life. Add that the episode ends with a DownerEnding and you have an episode that appeals to ''no one''.

* FridgeLogic: One episode the girls are trying to disprove the guys' theory that guys act different when hanging out with girls. So they disguise Lola as a guy. How does this prove their point if they don't know it's a girl?

* LauncherOfAThousandShips: All of the characters in the series (with the exception of Dustin) fall into this. Among the females Lola seems to fall into this and among the males Chase and Logan share this trait.

* DesignatedVillain: Logan, depending on the episode. All the crap he gets is often well-deserved LaserGuidedKarma, but sometimes he seems just victim of DisproportionateRetribution.

** For as disliked by a lot of fans as "Wrestling" was, the revelation that Logan confronted Chuck Javers in the parking lot over [[spoiler:putting Zoey in the infirmary with a head injury during their match]] despite Chuck being a psychopath and despite Logan himself not wanting Zoey on the team was pretty nice to see, showing that as much of a jerk as Logan can be at times, he's not completely heartless [[spoiler:even at the cost of him ending more severely injured then Zoey via Chuck in the bed in the infirmary beside her]].

* NightmareFuel: [[HalloweenEpisode "The Curse Of PCA"]] is genuinely frightening, as the characters are stalked by [[VengefulGhost Charles L. Galloway, the ghost of a former student]] who [[DrivenToSuicide commited suicide]] (which is obviously [[NeverSayDie never mentioned]], but ''heavily'' implied) after being relentlessly tortured by a SadistTeacher. And while Charles [[NightmareRetardant mostly appears as]] [[SpecialEffectsFailure a cloud of green smoke]], he does psychologically torture Zoey and physically attack various characters, eventually taking form, with his face looming over the building, [[EvilLaugh laughing evilly]].

** The final scene of 'Chase's Grandma', where Zoey comforts a sobbing Chase in the rain after [[spoiler: his grandmother passes away]].

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: For the cast reunion in the revival of ''Series/AllThat'', a lot of fans were understandably disappointed that both Music/VictoriaJustice and Alexa Nikolas, who played Lola and Nicole respectively, were absent. Justified for the latter, who revealed that she fell out with Jamie Lynn Spears during production of the show, accusing the actress of being [[HostilityOnTheSet hostile]] towards her enough for her to suffer emotionally, thus prompting her to leave and revealed that she wasn't invited for it along with that she has been unsuccessful in making amends with any of her former castmates.

* TheWoobie: Stacey, without the slightest bit of doubt. In one episode she tried to audition for a play and got rejected before she could do anything. And in many others she and her cotton swabs are neglected. It ''should'' be noted in the show's final episode, [[spoiler: Stacy ''does'' [[EarnYourHappyEnding get a happy ending]]. Granted she gets ''hit by a car'', but the accident makes it possible for her to finally speak properly!]].
** Chase Matthews, from the Season 2 episode, "Spring Breakers" until the the series finale can be considered this, for everything he went through during that time, including his absense in Season 4, as he [[spoiler: went to England to be with Zoey, only for Zoey to return to PCA]].

* AcceptableTargets: Stacey Dillsen. Even Zoey doesn't really treat her like a person.

* FoeYay: Logan has this with all the females in the series, but its most obvious and biggest case is with both Dana and Zoey. Also with Lola, to a certain extent.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Zoey and Nicole fake-fighting in "Back to PCA" when you realize that Alexa Nikolas quit the show because of real fights between her and Jamie Lynn.
* HarsherInHindsight: Any episode dealing with the girls having an argument but making up at the end becomes this given Jamie Lynn Spears and Alexa Nikolas's dispute behind the scenes. Ditto for every friendship scene involving Zoey and Nicole, who were actually the closest of the girls in early seasons, they are harder to watch to watch due to the HostilityOnTheSet between the actresses.

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome:
** In "Webcam" once the girls find out Logan has been spying on them(via a webcam hidden inside a giant teddy bear) and blabbing their secrets, them, Kazu, Chase and Michael all team up to get back at Logan for that(and for blowing off work at Sushi Rox resulting in Chase getting stuck with all of the deliveries) by staging an elaborate stunt for the webcam that involves Chase acting like he was giving the girls free sushi then Kazu finding out and Zoey pretending to knock out Kazu and announcing her plan to blame the whole thing on Logan, and Michael encourages Logan to tell the dean, so Logan ends up confessing to his crimes unintentionally and getting in trouble.
** In "Prank Week" in order to prevent Zoey for getting expelled for defacing the statue of PCA's founder(as retaliation for the guys pulling pranks against the girls for prank week), the boys make it so it looks like the statue is peeing and when Mr Brooks demands to know who did it, all the guys and girls claim responsibility claiming that if Zoey gets expelled they all do, successfully getting Mr Brooks to back down. Plus the fact that Zoey was willing to take all of the blame and let herself get expelled so that PCA wouldn't revert back to becoming a boys-only academy after the semester.
** Rebecca's LaserGuidedKarma at the end of "Zoey's Balloon": the entire group tells embarrassing secrets to make Zoey's secret not look bad, then they all play the Macalana. Rebecca then flees in embarrassment.
** In "Defending Dustin" Zoey and Chase stopping a bully Keith from bullying Dustin by getting Herb the janitor to act as the "Dean of Discipline" who chews out Keith for his bullying and scares the hell out of him in a pretty convincing performance.
** As despised as the ending of "Wrestling" is you gotta give Logan props for standing up to an established BloodKnight to defend Zoey after he injured her in their match, that took a lot of courage and it's implied he didn't regret it.
** In "Backpack" after Stacy steals Zoey's idea for personalized backpacks and is about to get rich off them by making a deal with the PCA store, Zoey gets back at her by making even better backpacks that vibrate and play music, resulting in Zoey striking a deal with the store owner and Stacy getting totally humiliated.
** In "Robot Wars" after Zoey and her team's robot is defeated during the battle, it looks like the other team won until it's revealed their robot was too tall and violated a rule, resulting in a rematch being declared. But with their robot out of commission it looks like the nerds will win by default until Quinn(who had previously refused to continue helping the team due to Logan calling her a dork and the others laughing along with him) shows up with a small pink robot which the other team does not take seriously, but when the battle starts Quinn's robot fires a laser that ''obliterates'' the other team's robot in a ''single'' hit.
** The epic prank that gets pulled on Logan in "Haunted House"
** In "Broadcast Views" after Dean Rivers bans Chase and Michael's webshow and Zoey and Logan get offered a TV show(After their segment on Chase and Michael's show got more viewers then any of Chase and Michael's solo shows)but instead of arguing with Logan as usual when their show gets on the air, Zoey takes the opportunity to call out Dean Rivers for censoring Michael and Chase's webcast and encourages everyone to go tell him off. As a result Rivers has to deal with a massive group of protesters causing him to eventually relent and un-cancel Chase and Michael's show.
** In "Chase's Girlfriend" Quinn getting back at Logan for calling her a "spazz" by tricking him into doing humiliating exercises(chasing a remote-controlled chicken, getting pelted by tennis balls and walking around campus while wearing a dress)under the guise of improving his free throw, only to reveal that Logan's only problem was needing to tuck in his elbow more.
** In "Hands on a Blix Van" Zoey tricking Logan into letting go of the van and winning the contest as payback for Logan's cheating(pretending to have a broken leg so he can sit in a chair).
** September 2015. The 10th anniversary of the [[http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/19/zoey-101-time-capsule-video time capsule video episode.]] Schneider's tweet?

** Lola's debut episode had her pretending to be a creepy {{Goth}} to stretch her acting skills. Victoria Justice's other well known Nickelodeon role was in Series/{{Victorious}} were she played a character that went to a performing arts school and was friends/rivals with a goth.
** An episode of season 2 had [[Series/ICarly Chase and Michael as hosts of a web show.]]

** In "Chasing Zoey" [[spoiler: Chase coming back to PCA, Zoey kissing him and the two finally becoming a couple, plus Logan yelling out to everyone at the prom that he loves Quinn during the prom after keeping their relationship secret for the entire season]].

** Logan, depending on the episode. All the crap he gets is often well-deserved LaserGuidedKarma, but sometimes he seems just victim of DisproportionateRetribution. The most prominent example is in the second half of "Anger Management," where, after being able to stay out of anger management classes by controlling his temper, Zoey decides that he's not weaseling out of it and intentionally tries to invoke anger by tying balloons to Logan's science project, sending it flying away, and throwing a paint bomb into his dorm, among other things. When he finally yells at them for the latter, he gets sent back to Anger Management, because [[InformedWrongness apparently it's not okay to yell at somebody because they're deliberately pushing your buttons, ruining your grade, and destroying your property.]]

* MoralEventHorizon: Coach Keller crosses this in "Wrestling" when he not only ''forces'' Zoey to join the wrestling team, but then ''admits that he was using her'' and that the whole reason he put her on the team was to get her in the tournament, make boys forfeit against her, and then lie to the ref saying she was "injured" so he could have another one of the wrestlers sub for her and get into the finals without being tired out.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: The season 3 episode "Wrestling" seems to be the writers's response to fans complaining about Zoey being too perfect and good at everything, and this is the first episode that makes her NotSoInvincibleAfterAll. Ironically, the episode turned out to be controversial anyway, and the DownerEnding with Zoey being beaten up (off-screen) by a vicious brute and then waking up in a hospital room, came off as too dark to some viewers, even the ones who didn't like Zoey.

** In "People Auction", Logan offers Lola, Zoey, and Nicole $4000 to be his cheerleaders for a week. The girls end up hating it, so they harass him by cheering for him at inappropriate moments (such as showering and after a pretty girl turns him down) until he gives them the $5000 so they leave him alone. While being his personal cheerleaders was far from dignified, they volunteered for the people auction to help rebuild Sushi Rox, and Logan was clearly willing to fulfill his end of the deal when he bought them (for the lack of a better term), so they end up coming off as trying to cheat Logan out of his money. It's even worse considering Michael and Chase's job was way worse and for less money but they fulfilled their end.
