His haters are pretty much arguing that if you aren't immediately willing to be objectified for "the greater good", you are a bad person.

However, he is also shown to not care in the slightest that most men in the world are dead becasue ''he'' is living a good life, which led to many others dismissing him as an irredeemable sociopath. That said, he ultimately shows some redeeming qualities later, so he still has some fans.

** One part simply cannot reason with Reito's unwillingness to perform his duties to be part of humanity's repopulation by having sex with probably thousands, maybe millions, of women as one of the five remaining men on earth. To them it doesn't matter if he is shocked about society's collapse and billions of men's deaths, nor that he had a lover waiting for him before he went into cryostasis and now he wants to find her-- [[AManIsAlwaysEager any sane man]], in their view, should not refuse millions of women obligated to reproduce with him, even if he had his own moral objections to the plan. The other part is more understanding to Reito's predicament, not only was this "duty" pushed on him happened overnight as far as he is concerned due to him just waking up from cold sleep, but all the men he knew, including relatives, are dead or in cryostasis like his brother, and the woman he loved his whole life has disappeared. The new world order is pushing him to become a breeding stallion, an animal for reproduction, without giving him time to adapt. Most people would need a lot of time to absorb all of this info.

One of her first actions is to have her subordinates drugged to make them sex-craved animals. All to make them [[RapeByProxy rape]] Reito since he saves himself for his girlfriend. She believes that his virtue is a nuisance for [[ForScience her research]] into turning all men into sex-craving broods. She is a BadBoss who kicks one of the drugged subordinates just to get her out of the way and throws darts at a naked employee purely for amusement.

* HarsherInHindsight: The story revolves around a global pandemic that causes death on massive scale save for mostly women that are not too old and a few lucky males, [[spoiler:origins and rumors of the virus being genetically-engineered set aside]]. * WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: Despite the frequent nudity and sexual content, the manga runs in the online magazine ''Shonen Jump +''. The spinoff ''Manga/WorldsEndHaremFantasia'', however, is more appropriately {{seinen}}.

Any exploration on various types of men signing up for breeding, as well as a look into the new, all-female world, are also missed opportunities.
** The ''Brittania'' spinoff has met some criticism for being a rather tame series compared to its brother titles. While it is clear that a reverse harem is formed for the heroine, the expected ecchi and nudity that the original and ''Fantasia'' have are rather lacking whether it be for the love interests or the heroine. Some Japanese readers felt like it was InNameOnly and would probably meet better success if it was published under its own label.
