But then the Voltes team's suits follow modern "more realistic" live-action superhero design trends, going for padded and armored suits instead of more form-fitting like in the anime (which has a spandex-style look like lots of Sentai/Rangers), and this doesn't quite gel with how the villains look. On its own, the suit design looks okay on the older pilots but makes Little Jon look oddly chunky for a kid.
