** After Dunkey's polarizing video of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2'' in which he made it abundantly clear that he did not enjoy the game even for a little bit, he also released a video of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3''. This video was far less outright negative, though he still made fun of the game's tendency to repeat the same lines over and over again, some of the stranger lines out of context, and [[WhamEpisode most of the end of Chapter 5 and beginning of Chapter 6]]. However, there were moments when he had praise for the game (such as [[AwesomeMusic/XenobladeChronicles3 its music]]) or just delivered some of his usual zaniness, which made it feel less like a giant TakeThat. Not to mention, unlike 2, Dunkey actually played through the entire game in preparation for the video, rather than quitting after only a few hours, which has been well-received by the game's fans even despite the negativity.

** Despite his mostly positive review of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3''dunkey angered fans by casually tweeting out a MAJOR endgame spoiler without any warning.

** While not as vocal as the above examples, there are people who dislike his ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2'' video. Not only did Dunkey seemingly intentionally misrepresent the game, either by taking cutscenes out of context such as Ophelia saying "Your excellency", or by showing gameplay of him flat out playing wrong[[labelnote]]When fighting a Giant Slug, he repeatedly hits it with sword attacks, rather than trying to exploit the snail's weaknesses.[[/labelnote]], but his reddit threat made in response flat out had him admit he basically stopped around ten hours and that he wasn't really paying attention.

* OpinionMyopia: A criticism that Dunkey has gained over the years is his inability to handle criticism or people who have differing views them him. The most infamous example being his ''VideoGame/OctopathTraveler'' video, where he responded to someone who made a video critical of his request by insulting him and essentially throwing his fans at the channel.
