* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: ''Vampires Suck'' was made when ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' was at the height of its popularity, and detractors were at their most vocal. While the franchise still has its fans and detractors today, it's not the hot topic it was when ''Vampires Suck'' was made, so it's very unlikely this film would be made in today's age, much less be a box office success.

* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: Not that that's saying much considering Creator/SeltzerAndFriedberg's previous films, but it's generally agreed this is one of their better spoof films. Mainly due to the fact it focuses on one series it's parodying rather than several and thus able to keep its focus. It also focuses on a work that was already out at the time, making it somewhat less of a ShallowParody.
