Actor trivia shoehorn.

* HilariousInHindsight: In one episode, a skunk addresses Big Dog as "Fatso." Brad Garrett, Big Dog's voice actor, would later go on to play Casper's Uncle Fatso in the 1995 film, [[Film/{{Casper}} Casper]].

** "Inside Out": After Little Dog bites the electric ball from the museum and gets shocked, we are treated to a very freaky scene of a flashing background with electric lines coming down behind it, and a very scary tiki god-like head staring at the viewer saying in a sinister voice "FOOLISH CANINE, I AM NOT ''YOUR'' FRIEND!" and laughs evilly. For a BigLippedAlligatorMoment, that was freaky! The terrifying performance of Creator/JimCummings1952 helps out.
** "Spooks a Poppin'": The [[CreepyCemetery Creepy Pet Cemetery]] setting of the episode (naturally), and the scene where Little Dog charges toward the Big Dog with the monkey skull on his head (he is trying to hit the wall to get it off), with the Big Dog showing genuine fear and not knowing who's under the skull.

* NauseaFuel: The end of "Red Strikes Back" is quite nasty, [[DownerEnding as it involves the dogs and Red in the witch's belly, drowning in green acid]].

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Anytime Big Dog makes an unexpected, insightful speech (which is not often at all). [[GeniusDitz It really seems to imply that despite how slow to respond and dim-witted he is, he has tons of knowledge on complex issues hidden deep within his tiny brain.]]

* RetroactiveRecognition: This was one of Creator/BradGarrett's first roles to really catch on before he broke into live-action with ''Series/EverybodyLovesRaymond'' a few years later.
* ShortLivedBigImpact: The show only lasted two seasons, but it was a major turning point for the then Turner-owned Creator/HannaBarbera, helping to bring ThickLineAnimation back into vogue and launching the careers of a number of people that would go on to create some of [[Creator/CartoonNetwork Cartoon Network's]] biggest hits.
