* MagnificentBastard: The Lord of the Night accomplishes this quite a lot, despite [[spoiler:that he was supposed to be dead]]. One of the prime examples is his plot in [[spoiler:''Boogeymen IV: Dolorum Ipsum Quia'']]. He not only orchestrated the whole thing, but he did it [[spoiler:just so he could watch the Titans kill each other]].
** Cauterize in Cutting Edge is also one, as he [[spoiler: manipulates a whole city and the Titans to accomplish his goals and frame someone for his crimes. And ALMOST gets away with it.]]

Removed the "Sue" tropes, since these are now Flame Bait examples that should not be allowed; see "Flame Bait" page for more details.

* {{Jerk S|ue}}tu: Noel sometimes, though it's often quickly roped back in or subverted. In a particular subversion, he is not thanked for it. Other characters inform him bluntly that he's being an asshole when he does this.

* MartyStu: Noel and Robert sometimes display typical signs of being an author's pet. Sometimes, Robert even calls Noel out on it. They both manage to be well-rounded characters despite it all, however, and at times can be completely subverted.
** You could argue that Noel isn't based on the sheer number of ''flaws'' this guy has... And while Robert doesn't have as many flaws, he rarely gets big rewards and has no two-sided love interests.

* CharacterDerailment: In ''Danny's Inferno'', when tensions run high between Savior and Sam Manson, Savior actually gives a HannibalLecture that causes her to cry... which many readers thought was out of character and even Legend Maker acknowledged that it didn't make much sense given Sam's strength of will.
