** Hooty is shown in this episode to have some hidden insecurities about his place amongst the other residents of the Owl House and, after reading Lilith's letter, decides to help his friends out in his own clumsy way. However each time he tries to help he thinks he's made things worse, [[DramaticIrony unaware that his methods actually did help his friends in some way]], culminating in him believing that he has ruined Luz's chance of dating Amity. Afterwards Hooty is so distraught he violently tries to break out of the Owl House believing that he is a curse on his friends. Fortunately by episodes end things work out and Hooty ends up feeling much better about himself.
