You can't really avert an audience reaction, and even if you could have, it wouldn't be notable enough to list.

* {{Wangst}}: Averted. ''The Movement'' is one of the few books featuring teenage superheroes as the main characters that isn't overloaded with convoluted love triangles and exaggerated portrayals of depression. Some of the members do have issues, especially Burden, but said issues never take over the ongoing storyline.

!!The Fan Fiction
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: All the original Animorphs get one. Some are still in planning.
** Cassie is an WellIntentionedExtremist. She's so dedicated to peace between yeerks and humans that she refuses to consider that other options are possible. [[spoiler: When she is eventually forced to, [[BreakTheCutie she goes ballistic and tries to kill everything that moves.]]]]
** Ax is overly-formal to compensate for the fact that [[spoiler: he's homosexual, which is forbidden in andalite society. His goal was to seem so perfect to the andalite authorities that if he was ever found out, they might have leniency for him. This habit carried over to his life on Earth. It helps that he had a crush on Tobias.]]
** Rachel is slowly going more and more insane due to her violence. She acts like a DumbBlonde to cover it up, and she gets [[AlphaBitch meaner and meaner as time goes along]], driving her friends away. [[spoiler: She eventually goes on an impossible suicide mission and dies.]]
** Tobias feels the need to be more and more human to have a functional relationship with Rachel. She's mean to him (due to her gradual slip into insanity), making him think that he's not doing a very good job, so he tries to be even more human. [[spoiler: In the end, he becomes a human nothlit during a mission and is instantly killed.]]
* BadassDecay: Rachel. She's still dangerous as the series goes along, but 'badass' implies sanity.
* FanficFuel: The author takes advantage of the fact that the Peace Movement is largely absent from the Animorphs series.
* JerkassWoobie: Rachel.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: Oh, look, an Animorphs fan fiction! It must be kid friendly, just like the original series, right? Well, other than the fact that EveryoneIsBi, there's a trans character, [[spoiler: everybody dies at the end]], there are quite a few descriptions of AbusiveParents, and [[spoiler: Verrator]] has a severe mental disease... [[ComicallyMissingThePoint yeah]], [[{{Dissimile}} pretty]] [[BlatantLies much]].
* TheWoobie: Ax and Tobias both qualify.

This isn\'t YMMV, so I\'m moving it to the front page. I don\'t know about Adorkable because of what\'s going on at the trope repair shop.

* GreyAndGrayMorality: The Movement seeks to help the downtrodden, but engages in some questionable methods and counts a brutal KnightTemplar among their numbers. The police run the gamut from honest cops doing the best they can in the situation to corrupt sleazebags.
