** "Poof's Playdate" has Timmy's parents watch a Dr. Phil parody who warns parents about kids taking toilet paper up to their room and saying not to bother them, which Timmy does right at that moment. In context, it's because Timmy is making makeshift diapers for the fairies he turned into babies, and it's likely just meant to be an extreme coincidence, but it comes across like a [[ADateWithRosiePalms masturbation joke]].

* FriendlyFandoms: With ''WesternAnimation/{{FamilyGuy}}'' due to both shows' creators being good friends with each other.

** There are a number of fans who tend to portray Vicky as a JerkassWoobie and a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who deep down, cares about the twerp and her young sister Tootie, often ignoring that she is a greedy, AxCrazy, abusive and sociopathic monster who is a BigSisterBully to Tootie and actively enjoys hurting children ForTheEvulz, with ''Channel Chasers'' showing her as being an evil tyrant in the special's BadFuture. To be fair to fans though, Vicky was initially depicted to be more of a JerkWithAHeartOfGold in the earlier seasons until she became {{Flanderized}} to a full blown villain later on.

* AcceptableTargets:
** The show really likes to stereotype British people and make fun of UsefulNotes/{{Europe}}.
** There's also an ongoing theory that Butch Hartman, or someone else on the writing staff, ''really'' hates rich people, seeing as they're almost never depicted positively (with the occasional exception of Trixie Tang pre-Main/{{Flanderization}}).
** Smart people are often targeted as well, being portrayed as {{Insufferable|Genius}} and {{Smug|Snake}} if not portrayed as {{Mad Scientist}}s. In one episode, [[StrawVulcan they’re so focused on logic]], that they don't [[WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove even understand the concept of love]].

* {{Wangst}}: "Not on the List" from ''Merry Wishmas''. While a lot of the gifts the kids received are pretty lame, some of them complain that they didn't get very expensive or rare things (a robotic fire-breathing dragon, a trip to Aruba, a ride to a space station) despite getting pretty decent toys. Mr. Turner in particular complains that he got a talking horse instead of eggnog, though given this is Mr. Turner, he's not exactly meant to be taken seriously.

* FranchiseOriginalSin: Season 6 began by introducing a mainstay in Poof. While Poof isn't exactly beloved, he's not hated either. Seasons 9 and 10 would also start by introducing main characters, both of whom received largely negative reception; Sparky was essentially a canine Cosmo, and Chloe was a ParodySue with little self-awareness. Reception toward Chloe improved since her perfection was toned down, while Sparky was removed in response to how poorly he was received.

* CondemnedByHistory: Formerly loved, this show was ScrewedByTheNetwork after SeasonalRot so severe that everyone stopped caring about it by the first episode of Season 10 and it was QuietlyCancelled. Even worse, ''Series/TheFairlyOddParentsFairlyOdder'' further ruined FOP's legacy.

* SoOkayItsAverage: Among the more forgiving part of the fanbase, this is the general opinion toward seasons 6-10, particularly the last four ones. While they suffer from number of issues and are [[ToughActToFollow nowhere as strong as the earlier seasons]], they still have their share of [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments funny moments]] and ideas that either [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot could have been executed better]] or are even decent.

** Timmy is popularly headcanoned as trans. In one episode depicting past events, Timmy's parents act with absolute certainty that their child will be a girl, Cosmo even noting that this explains all the pictures of Timmy in a dress. Another episode has Timmy [[ItsAWonderfulPlot wishing he never was born]], and in the ensuing alternate timeline, Timmy's parents have a daughter who seems to be Timmy's exact age and of a similar appearance. Plus, there’s the fact that he was angry the one time when Wanda [[TwistingTheWords deliberately misinterpreted]] one of his statements into him wishing he were a girl and spent most of the episode wanting to change back.

* TheScrappy: Sparky, Timmy's fairy dog from season 9. After his first episode, he became immediately despised for his reckless, irresponsible, clueless, selfish, and downright obnoxious behavior. His addition also violated basic continuity (his previous owners were adults) and was considered superfluous as the show already had Cosmo as the {{Lethally Stupid}} ditz. The fact that he was a smart-mouthed, talking dog added to the character roster in an attempt to keep the show fresh, meant viewers making direct comparisons to [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Poochie]], a famous parody of an obnoxious, newly-added character, where as immediate as they were predictable. He was so unpopular that he suddenly vanished after Season 9 and has not been seen since.

* AmericansHateTingle: During the 2000's the series was really hated in Latin America not for its quality but because children's channel Jetix was so obsessed with it that they removed various series that people liked (Sonic X, Kirby Right Back At Ya, Shaman King, Beyblade, Mega Man NT Warrior, Digimon, The Transformers Unicron Trilogy, Ultimate Muscle, TMNT 2003, Medabots, Code Lyoko and Shinzo just to name a few) just to put more episodes on the schedule, which naturally didn't go well with. This has died down considerably since then (Jetix was closed on 2009 and it's successor Disney XD only aired the series for a few more years at the late hours of the rings until the licesne ran out in 2018) and now the show is remembered much more fondly with many people have admited that it was really good speaclly the early seasons but the over exposure on Jetix really ruined the reputation of the show for a long time.

* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: Chip Skylark singing. Helps that he's voiced by a guy who's from an actual boy band.
