** In "Timmy TV", the creators of the titular ShowWithinAShow do not like Timmy's friends Chester and AJ and want to have them replaced by monkeys. Cut forward to the later seasons and you find that although they are not exactly replaced or underwent ChuckCunninghamSyndrome, looking for them is like playing a Where's Waldo game.

** Crocker too, although he has become more a BaseBreaker (and even a borderline scrappy) case due to his overexposure and Flanderization in later seasons, especially in Season 9.

** Anti-Cosmo has a strong fanbase who like to portray him as an attractive, suave vampire fairy and ignore his more negative aspects.

*** To a much lesser degree there are those who ignore everything after season 1 or 2.

** Chloe Carmichael. Many fans see her as a Little Miss Perfect who makes Timmy look like even more of a loser by comparison and who Timmy has to share his fairies with due to a "fairy shortage" despite her not meeting the requirement of being miserable (especially when compared to ChesterLives in poverty in a trailer with his dad, who has to wear a bag on his head because he's a disgraced and notoriously awful former baseball player or TootieLives under the same roof as Vicky, no further explanation needed other than to say that "Birthday Wish" confirms that she's at least twice as miserable as Timmy is). On the other hand, there are also fans who like that Chloe is a positive female character, since the other female characters (with the exception of Tootie) are either Alpha Bitches (Trixie), irredeemable Jerkasses (Vicky and Miss Doombringer), Main/TooDumbToLive (Mrs. Turner), or were one-off characters (Molly and Missy), and that she's much less of a Sue in her next appearances. There's even a few fans who hope Chloe will become Timmy's new love interest, though this is subject to whether or not the live-action films are canon.

** Ms. Doombringer was introduced as a more menacing version of Mr. Crocker, she even vows to have revenge on Timmy one day, though she hasn't appeared in any other episodes or even mentioned.

** After the negative reception of the new intro, the show returned to the standard one from season 9 starting with "Girly Squirrely". Unfortunately, it didn't last as the recent episode, "The Fair Bears", used the new intro.

** Based on interviews with Butch Hartman, it seems Sparky is headed this way.
*** As mentioned above, this seems to be subverted as Sparky's VA confirmed he won't return.

** Mrs. Crocker, Denzel Crocker's mother, has become a minor one. Most fans see her just a plain, boring, obnoxious old lady and even then for some reason since Season 7 onwards the writers think that she is an entertaining and funny character that everyone wants to watch.

*** ValuesDissonance also plays a major part in the infamy of the episode: it essentially expresses the outdated religious dogma that if you kill yourself (even if you think it will benefit others in return) you should go to Hell, and the only thing that made Timmy accept being born at the expense of a vast majority is because Jorgen threatened him with Hell. Besides being used in arguments that GodIsEvil, this dogma is the worst thing you can say to someone with severe depression and (since they aren't actually thinking clearly) therefore more likely to take such claims of punishment as justification for self-harm. Modern psychology treats suicidal ideation not by use of punishment and instead try to psychologically convince the sufferers that they are not as useless or evil as they think they are, and in fact, through the help of therapists/friends/family, they can make a meaningful difference for others in life.
