* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: The show's soundtrack is practically a "Best of". One example is an instrumental that sounds like the beginning of [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E9XUkoJH5I Andy Williams' song, "Can't Get Used to Losing You"]].

* UncannyValley: Some of the human designs in the show can range from pretty goofy to downright frightening. * NightmareFuel: ''Stump's Family Reunion'', when Norbert mutates because of his ear infection and ''eats'' some of Stump's family members.
** In ''Yak in the Sack,'' the Yak was pretty creepy.
** ''Finger Lickin' Goofs'' ends with an bear spitting out [[spoiler: Bill Licking's wig, heavily implying that he was killed and eaten.]]
** Norb getting possessed by the pond scum and taking on a demonic visage.
** Some scenes in "The Day The World Got Really Screwed-Up!".
** When Norb, Dag and Stump are stuck on the Earth's core in "What's Eating You?", Dag contemplates eating Stump. Norb tries to protect Stump, but eventually reveals that he wants to eat Stump himself. Not helping is how the gravity is much more intense, which causes their appearance and voices to distort.
** At the end of "Muscular Beaver 3", Treeflower [[spoiler: flys away...then the screen cuts to black as the sound of something getting stuck in a turbine, screaming and a plane crash is how the episode ends.]]
** The Crawling Spleen from "Up All Night". While the hokey acting in the ShowWithinAShow horror movie may cushion the blow a little, the entity itself is pretty terrifying, especially for children; it's a manmade abomination in the form of a sentient spleen with an opposable thumb sticking out of it that slithers along the ground. In the movie proper, it ends up crawling up a lady scientist's arm and slowly inching towards her face as another scientist tells her to cover her ears so it won't eat her brain. The last we see of it, its finger is literally a ''single centimeter'' away from her ear as she screams in terror.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: The flawless RoaringRampageOfRevenge Dag and Norb inflict on Bill Licking for humiliating them on national TV. In fact, Dag has to be physically restrained from killing Bill the next time they meet.

** While dealing with the asshole lumberjacks who've invaded their forest, Dag's spirit is briefly broken and Norb is beyond outraged. When he goes to confront the lumberjacks again, the leader attempts to break in another song. Norb smacks him in the face twice.
** In "Oh, Brother" Norb tries to manipulate Dag's supposed real brother, Randy (a stupider and childish version of Dag who can only laugh) into going "If Dag is an idiot, laugh real hard." Randy punches him. [[spoiler: It then turns out Randy is infinitely more smarter and eloquent than Norb's {{Jerkass}} supposed "real" brother Byron, saying he'd been pretending to be an idiot since they were born because he didn't want to make Byron feel bad about being the stupid brother. Randy apologizes to Dag for encouraging Byron's "real brother" fantasies, and Dag says he knows how dumb brothers can be. Norb asserts ''he's'' the smart one, which Randy finds hilarious, and Norb begins to realize Dag might really ''be'' the smart one.]]
