Admit it, diabetes never tasted so good.

Added DiffLines:

** There are those that think the "Bad Blood" music video is totally ridiculous. There are others that think it's so ridiculous, it circles right back around into being awesome.

Added DiffLines:

** In a lighter case, she once got cricket confused with rugby (though it's understandable since they aren't well known sports in the US).

** This trend has certainly continued with Red and especially 1989, the latter impressing even such hard-to-please critics as Pitchfork.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: The video for "You Belong With Me" is cute as hell, but somewhat cliche. The video for "Single Ladies", on the other hand, is unlike anything anyone else was doing at the time. And logically, since "Single Ladies" was video of the year overall, shouldn't it also be female video of the year?

* MagnumOpus: Majority of people will say 1989 seems to be this, pretty much going straightforward with the electronic style she had been adapting into her music lately.

** For comparison's sake, let's look at a common pattern that relationships with a narcissist usually follow. So, imagine that you enter a relationship, and at first your partner seems perfect - exactly what you deserve, after years of suffering from heartbreak. But then - omigod! - you discover that your partner is actually their own person, with their own thoughts and wishes and even - gasp! - imperfections. Oh noes! You thought they were so good, and they so aren't! Oh, that lying cheating bastard! So now you feel deeply betrayed, and might even write a scathing BreakupSong about it. Sounds familiar?
