* CriticalResearchFailure: During Lex Luthor's inauguration, he has a backdrop of vertically-displayed American flags with the blue canton on the top right, as if the flags had been rotated 90 degrees. This is a common mistake. Whether displayed horizontally or vertically, [[http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/more/displayonly.htm the canton is almost always displayed at the top left]][[note]]barring some very specific applications to include military shoulder patches and aircraft markings, where the canton might be depicted on the leading edge of the flag, to show the flag flowing back as the bearer moves forward.[[/note]]

Yeah, yeah, I know, but not appropriate to call a real life person a supervillain.

* HarsherInHindsight: Supervillain CorruptCorporateExecutive Lex Luthor becoming a President seemed like a comic book plot. Flashforward to 2015-2016 and we have the campaign of Donald Trump.

* IdiotPlot: A lot of the story hinges on half the superhero community trusting Lex flippin Luthor, even though its obvious they all know he is a supervillain even if the world at large doesn't. Far worse in the original comic book story, though, since ''that'' one was part of the DCU canon where most or all of them had had several run-ins with Luthor in the past and had first-hand experience of his bastardy.
** Actually Captain Atom acknowledges that Luthor is still a supervillian but believes he just put his evil mind to something productive and is getting more satisfaction to his ego by being a great president rather than some villainous scheme. He also uses other presidents that were not too reputable but pulled off great accomplishments as examples.

Narm is a moment or something that happens, not you griping about the art style.

* HilariousInHindsight: The four ice villains who team up on Batman (with the exception of Killer Frost being the Louise Lincoln version here instead of the original Crystal Frost version) are the same ones making trouble in the opening scenes of ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice''.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: The movie is called ''Superman/Batman'', so there are ''many''. Special mention must go to Superman's final words to Luthor.
--> '''Luthor''': I am the President!
--> '''Superman''': Consider yourself '''* PUNCH* ''' ''impeached''.
* CrowningMomentOfFunny: "Clark... what the hell are ''good'' villains?"
** Lex Luthor calling Amanda Waller a bitch after she [[spoiler: gives Batman and Superman the information they were searching for to stop the meteor]].
** When Superman and Batman are in the batcave discussing [[spoiler:Metallo's death among other things]] Superman says that Batman was there when they fought and would vouch for his innocence. Batman just gives him a "Seriously?" look because, well, he's '''[[HeroWithBadPublicity Batman]]'''. The look itself is just hilarious and has to be seen to be believed.
** The opening comment from "The Weekly Show".
** Major Force calling Batman a piece of... well, [[CurseCutShort you know]]. Right as Batman throws what can only be [[NarrativeProfanityFilter profanity-retardant]] goo in his face.
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: "That was my best friend." This might be the very first time Superman explicitly states that they're best friends. Cue lip quiver.

Cleanup project — only use this when it happens in-universe.

* AndTheFandomRejoiced: Fans were pretty happy to hear about ''Public Enemies'' but then the makers said the three names that made everyone lose their minds: Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, and Clancy Brown. [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome Rejoicing indeed]].
** And author of the comic version, JephLoeb, probably rejoiced, too, as in [[http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=20453 an interview]] about the movie when it was first announced, he basically said something along the line of, "Just get Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, and Clancy Brown and I'll be happy."

sexual harassment is gross because the victim is fat... okay then...

* {{Squick}}: Honestly, did we ''really'' need to see Lex Luthor kissing Amanda Waller? To be fair, she seemed incredibly disturbed by it as well.
** To be fair, that's actually in the source comic. And Waller actually looked ''worse'' in that.

Excuse Plot is video game only

* ExcusePlot: There's a plot up until Luthor offers a reward. Then it's just an excuse to have Batman and Superman beat up a lot of people.
