* FunnyMoments: There are going to be plenty of these. For an obvious target, let's consider the [=DLC=] mission "Cafeteria Al-Warth." It starts as a food episode with people comparing the food on each of their worlds. C.C. is almost certainly craving pizza. Ange pulls together a team of chefs and BigEaters to go get ingredients. Where and how does she plan to get them? [[spoiler: Invading Misurugi again, [[SarcasmMode what else?]] This episode is set shortly after the attempted execution, so Ange [[KickTheSonOfABitch needs no excuse to make Julio and Sylvia miserable]]. The two of them are in the middle of a fancy dinner party, but need to pull a [[VillainExitStageRight fast exit]] so they don't end up assassinated in this filler episode.]] But all's well that ends well as the cross-dimensional meal goes over well.

* HeartwarmingMoments:
** One of the biggest in the IF endings: [[spoiler:The Misurugi sisters reunite together, with Sylvia standing after learning about Embryo through Aura. She off her older sister whatever punishment she wishes for the betrayal from earlier, but Ange declines. Instead, she states she found many in Misurugi who weren’t so bad after all and offers to help her younger sister rebuild the Empire, only asking for a residence in the new Misurugi nation in return so she can establish Cafe Ange. Finally after more than three years, the Misurugi sisters have gained a happy family reunion.]]

** ''Mashin Hero Wataru'' provides an interesting example: it belongs to Creator/{{Sunrise}}, but the rights are shared with Creator/RedEntertainment and show creator, Ouji Hiroi (who also made ''VideoGame/SakuraWars'' with them, as well). Keep in mind Hiroi explicitly detests ''Super Robot Wars'', claiming [[ExiledFromContinuity he would never allow his franchises to appear in this series in any capacity]], but ''X'' seems to have dispelled that notion entirely. Of note is ''VideoGame/ProjectXZone'' and ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsXOmega'' had set an earlier precedence regarding ''Sakura Wars''.

** ''Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater'': while a Creator/StudioGainax series, it's approach to HumongousMecha is as unorthodox as ''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato2199''. Even more baffling is unlike other Gainax shows taking place in the future or during the present, this one occurs in the ''19th century''. Finally, take into consideration the main leads, Jean and Nadia, aren't even combatants.

Removed Hilarious In Hindsight: Aura Battler Dunbine and Masou Kishin already happened since Super Robot Wars Alpha; not the first time it's happened.

* HilariousInHindsight: The reason why [[Characters/MasouKishin Masaki and the Cybuster]] even exist in the first place is because back when ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars2'' first came out, the developers wanted ''Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine'' to be in the game. Now, both franchises can finally meet with each other in this game.
* UnexpectedCharacter: As usual. This go-round:
** The return of the "original" Banpresto Original Mazinkaiser. It's been ten years and the release of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha 3'' since this version of Mazinkaiser showed up and versions that did usually fall back to its OVA counterpart. The fact that it's also showing up alongside Mazinger ZERO and Mazin Emperor G is equally surprising.
** The return of ''Masou Kishin: Lord Of Elemental'' in a non-''OG'' game, since it seemed that everyone was content on having Masaki and the others hang out with the other ''OG'' heroes.
** ''[[Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water]]''. While a Gainax series, the series is about as mecha as ''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato2199''.
