Instead, she states she found many in Misurugi who weren’t so bad after all and offers to help her younger sister rebuild the Empire, only asking for a residence in the new Misurugi nation in return so she can establish Cafe Ange. Finally after more than three years, the Misurugi sisters have gained a happy family reunion.]]

** To a lesser extent, the Hi-Nu Gundam in its 2006 redesign. Previous ''SRW'' entries have used the original Izubuchi's design for the novel as the basis for its SD sprites, the same design which was used for Katoki's ''Master Grade'' 2014 model kit release. The change is due to the Manga adaptation of ''Beltorchika's Children'' using this redesign, which followed the standard set by most [[VideoGame/GundamVSSeries other]] [[VideoGame/SDGundamGGeneration games]] and [[Anime/ModelSuitGunplaBuildersBeginningG animations]] to feature the Hi-Nu since 2006.

** ''Mashin Hero Wataru'' provides an interesting example: it belongs to Creator/{{Sunrise}}, but the rights are shared with Creator/RedEntertainment and show creator, Ouji Hiroi (who also made ''VideoGame/SakuraWars'' with them, as well). Keep in mind Hiroi explicitly detests ''Super Robot Wars'', claiming [[ExiledFromContinuity he would never allow his franchises to appear in this series in any capacity]], but ''X'' seems to have dispelled that notion entirely. Of note is ''VideoGame/ProjectXZone'' and ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsXOmega'' had set an earlier precedence regarding ''Sakura Wars''.

** ''Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater'': while a Creator/StudioGainax series, it's approach to HumongousMecha is as unorthodox as ''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato2199''. Even more baffling is unlike other Gainax shows taking place in the future or during the present, this one occurs in the ''19th century''. Finally, take into consideration the main leads, Jean and Nadia, aren't even combatants.

Now, both franchises can finally meet with each other in this game.

** The return of the "original" Banpresto Original Mazinkaiser. It's been ten years and the release of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha 3'' since this version of Mazinkaiser showed up and versions that did usually fall back to its OVA counterpart. The fact that it's also showing up alongside Mazinger ZERO and Mazin Emperor G is equally surprising.
** The return of ''Masou Kishin: Lord Of Elemental'' in a non-''OG'' game, since it seemed that everyone was content on having Masaki and the others hang out with the other ''OG'' heroes.
** ''[[Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water]]''. While a Gainax series, the series is about as mecha as ''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato2199''. Even more baffling that unlike other shows taking place in the future on in the present time, this one takes place ''on the 19th century''. And that if you take into consideration ''none of the main leads (Jean and Nadia) are even combatants''.
