* GoodBadBugs: A very unusual bug occurred during the beta and other early builds of the game that somehow caused Chun-Li's JigglePhysics to go nuts and get cranked UpToEleven when selected by Player 2 in the character select screen. Just compare [[http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--YOUD53u6--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/1301384863679168582.gif Player 1]] and [[http://i.imgur.com/mAAInla.gif Player 2]]. Some liked this for [[PerverseSexualLust obvious reasons]], others didn't because those jiggle physics were like something out of VideoGame/DeadOrAlive and not Street Fighter. Capcom has confirmed that they're going to fix it either way, though.

** Vega's return to Street Fighter V was surprisingly well received, thanks to a flashy trailer showing Vega receiving a bunch of new moves and animations, on top of a redesign of his outfit. But THEN the word came out that Vega, like Nash before him, had become a Motion Character instead of his traditional Charge (for those who don't know, SF tends to have special moves performed with either Quarter/Half/Full Circle motions on the analog, or by holding a direction for a certain amount of time before moving in a different direction, Vega up until SFV used the latter denomination). Debates, rants and arguments immediately erupted all over any place that discussed SFV. One side believes this is a welcome change for the character, expressing that his Charge based gameplay was ill-suited to his design previously and note how well the change has worked for Nash. The other side believes this is a complete betrayal by Capcom, say the character isn't really Vega and demand a return to his traditional roots since there's no reason to fix what wasn't broken. Adding fuel to the fire was WordOfGod stating that the change to Motion isn't final and may very well change back to Charge based on feedback and balance. If nothing else this is certainly the most emotion and reaction Vega has ever caused, even harking back to his S-Tier Super Turbo and Capcom vs SNK 2 days.

** Fans were excited for the online beta that was offered as an incentive for pre-ordering the game. When it finally came time for the first beta, it was riddled with connection issues, and had to be shut down early and postponed. This also led to something of a BrokenBase, split between those who understood that this was a beta test and that there would be issues, and those who feel angry at Capcom that they didn't get to play the game, as promised.

* HypeBacklash: As soon as Charlie was revealed, three camps of opinion arose; The first, which says that his new design is awful and that if they wanted to bring Charlie back then his old design was just fine.
