** The [[spoiler: attempted rape scene from "Meeseeks and Destroy". It's played completely seriously, there are no sequences where it's ''ever'' played for laughs, and Morty is obviously very, very traumatized by it. And it's scarier than hell.]]
** The all-too-serious hostage situation with the Meeseeks at the end of said episode also gets more than a little disturbing too, at least until [[spoiler:[[ItMakesSenseInContext Jerry finally manages to get his golf swing in order]].]]

* RewatchBonus: "M. Night Sham-aliens" is a very good example of this. Watching it again after seeing the first viewing has caused plenty of viewers to catch the subtle foreshadowing missed the first time that leads to the reveal that [[spoler: Rick knew Morty was a simulation all along and that the aliens tried a multi-layer simulation gambit]].

* GeniusBonus: In ''Anatomy Park'' when Morty is being attacked by the hepatitis virus, Hepatitis C attacks it and leaves him alone, due to it being a benign ailment.

FridgeHorror: At the end of 'Anatomy Park', Rick enlarges the hobo to help Morty and at the end, makes the hobo explode with the dynamite he stuffed into the hobo's corpse. The hobo's blood rains upon the whole United States. Blood that came from a hobo that had many dangerous diseases kept inside him.

** Although it seems to have dramatically toned down come second episode.
