He explains that he regards the slippery controls as a form of FakeDifficulty that erodes the player's sense of control over their own gameplay. ** "DEATH WATER" and "NOW I'LL SHOW YOU" are a bit more deserving of their status; even though they each appeared in just one video, Jon [[OverlyLongGag repeated them over and over again]].

** Happened unintentionally with an incident when Jon accidentally ended his June 24, 2017 Stream after cutting a game short due to excessive backseaters; the period of time between him cutting off the stream and going live again to explain what happened was filled with people in chat pointing out exactly how harmful backseat gaming is to the streamer and the viewers, how it basically equates to bullying, and how even a small amount of backseaters are enough to set someone off. Then, after Jon came back live and performed the raid he intended to do, all seemed to be forgiven, which lead one chat user to make a post after the stream calling out everyone for seemingly forgetting everything that had happened with the backseaters that night, and suggested that those people rethink their lives and their priorities.
** The debacle surrounding ''Squishy the Suicidal Pig'' winning a cookie during one stream became another rather significant one: suicide is an extremely serious issue that is not to be taken as flippantly as the game did, and there is help for those who feel inclined towards it.

* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: The "glitch count" from his ''VideoGame/Superman64'' LP (borrowed from ''VideoGame/KatamariDamacy'').
** He uses the 'tada!' sound effect from Windows 95 in his ''Resident Evil 5'' collab for things such as his epic rescue of [=SuperJeenius=] ("FOOOOOOTBAAAAALLL!") and when the two of them don't forget or miss anything in a level that he would have to recap later.
** Also, his laughter is pretty nice to listen to.
** In his livestreams, he uses a clip of Albert Wesker irately saying "YOU WILL GIVE ME AN EGG!" and injects it randomly into the stream at the request of the chat commentators, especially when he gets a new subscriber.
** In one livestream Jon revealed that he also thinks this about "[[LargeHam I am MASTER ASIA!]]" from ''Anime/MobileFighterGGundam''.
** His singing voice is amazing.
** When he goes full HamAndCheese mode is it just wonderful and one can only listen laughing. Even his co-commentators, and [[LetsPlay/TheRunawayGuys comrades]] [[{{Corpsing}} break down laughing]] and he [[SpotlightStealingSquad steals the show]].

* FriendlyFandoms: At one point, a good number of Jon's fans also happened to be fans of WebVideo/{{Vinesauce}}, due to Jon's tastes and commentary style (particularly during his own streams) being remarkably similar to Vinny's and especially Joel's and due to Jon admitting to liking their work. The overlap was always more visible on Jon's own Twitch channel though, but it wasn't too uncommon to find a regular from Jon's chat in Vinny's or Joel's. Since the end of the 2010's, however, this overlap has shrunk by a considerable amount due to a combination of Jon's streaming style changing heavily and longtime members of Jon's community jumping ship in favor of Vinny and Joel's communities.

* OvershadowedByControversy: Once considered a pioneer in the let's play genre and one of the greatest members of its old guard, Jon has become better known outside of his core fanbase for the immense DevelopmentHell of his ''Superman 64'' LP (which started in 2010 and is still incomplete over a decade later) and his vitriolic attitude towards it (which stemmed in part from the large amount of circumstances outside of his control that contributed to the playthrough's multiple hiatuses), with the playthrough coming to more greatly overshadow him after a three-and-a-half-year hiatus between the eleventh and twelfth installments, which respectively came out in January of 2013 and July of 2016. In a livestream done off the heels of the thirteenth and most recent video's release in 2017, Jon explicitly stated that he was aware of how heavily this trope came to affect public perception of the playthrough, his broader content, and his personal self, and indeed it's unlikely that he will ever escape the stigma caused by the protracted production of the project among the general public.

** "Hi, why am I here?"[[labelnote:Explanation]]On one stream, Jon tried to load an Xsplit layout for DS games, but forgot that he also had his webcam on that layout, thus surprising him when he switched to the layout and discovered that not only was the game not there, but his face was. * FriendlyFandoms: There seems to be a pretty good overlap between Jon fans and WebVideo/{{Vinesauce}} fans, particularly fans of Vinny and Joel, due to Jon's commentary style and tastes being '''very''' Vinesauce-esque (right down to him sharing Joel's love of ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'', ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'', and dumb, over-the-top shit in general) and due to Jon admitting to enjoying their work. The overlap appears to be more visible on Jon's channel than on Vinny's or Joel's, though.
