* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Now that John Lasseter's history of sexual misconduct has come to light, ''Knick Knack'''s focus on a premise of the snowman pursuing an attractive, swimsuit-clad women (not feels a lot skiver (though ironically, it was Lasseter's idea to mention their prominent racks in remove her comically oversized boobs for the uncensored short) might feel less amusing after its director, John Lasseter, became revealed as a sexual harasser.re-release). Even worse if you know that he has previously stated that it was created by the staff to "blow off steam."

Added DiffLines:

* MisBlamed: When Pixar released the bowdlerized version of Knick Knack, a lot of people assumed that Disney, who had recently acquired the company, forced them to make the edit. The Pixar staff said that they had made that choice themselves. When they originally made it, they were a bunch of lonely computer nerds, whereas at the time of the re-release, they were men with families, no longer comfortable with having women objectified in that fashion.

* UnexpectedCharacter: ''Film/{{Condorman}}'' was one of several live-action flops from Disney in the late 70s/early 80s, and its' cheesy storyline and production values, as compared to ''Film/TheBlackHole'' or ''Film/{{TRON}}'', has left it obscure to even many Disney fans. So seeing him as one of the discarded kids' meal toys in ''Small Fry'' was a pretty big surprise.

Added a YMMV trope.

* {{Narm}}: ''The entirety of Lava'', if you happen to be bothered by the fact that it repeatedly commits one of the cardinal sins of lyric writing by putting the AccentOnTheWrongSyllable absolutely everywhere.
** Even without the lyrics it's a fairly unintentionally hilarious short due to how completely lacking subtlety it is.
** NarmCharm: And yet, in spite of this, for some the ending of ''Lava'' manages to be heartfelt and moving, especially when that wonderful harmony kicks in.
** A lot of people have admit to finding the scene in ''Bao'' where [[spoiler:the mother eats her son]] more funny than heartwrenching due to how out of nowhere it seems.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: Along with age confusion - while the short itself provides enough context to easily tell that the protagonist of ''Bao'' is an adult woman, the preview clip did not, leaving some to mistakenly believe it was going to be about a young boy.
