%%* AudienceAlienatingEra: For the majority of Nightwing fans, despite not being part of the ''Ric Grayson'' era anymore, this series becomes the complete oppposite, being extremely light-hearted and friendly with no stakes at all and being more of a slice of life than an action title. ** A superhero comic book about a street-level vigilante who owns an entire block of apartments and starts off by saving a dog and taking it in. Tom Taylor's ''Nightwing'' or Creator/MattFraction's ''ComicBook/{{Hawkeye}}''? Even beyond the superficial elements, numerous comparisons have been made to Fraction's ''Hawkeye'' run due to the use of "moment to moment" panel transitions.

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** The last few years of the ''Nightwing'' comic (before Infinite Frontier) have not been well-received. Fans of Dick Grayson really did not like the "Ric Grayson" story, since it got rid of his memories and had him be mean to the rest of the Batfamily for pretty much no reason. After ''ComicBook/TheJokerWar'' restored his memories, this book firmly put Nightwing back on the map as the nicest superhero in the DC universe and fans have loved the first issue.
** Dick and Barbara's relationship has also been fixed. Prior to the Infinite Frontier relaunch, Barbara had been cross with Dick for not showing up to Alfred's funeral, even though Dick was amnesiac at the time and she knew it. The first issue of this run (#78) has Barbara on much more friendly terms with Dick, as well as both acknowledging that the reason he didn't show up was because he "was someone else." She also gives him a letter from Alfred, which pretty much makes up for any interaction they missed due to his amnesia plotline.
** Issue 80 reaffirms that Tim Drake has returned to being Robin. While issues leading up to ComicBook/DCFutureState were leaning towards Tim Drake taking back the mantle, the announcement that the ''ComicBook/Robin2021'' relaunch was going to be a Damian Wayne-led series, despite his renouncing the mantle, ruffled some feathers. This issue implies that they will both be sharing the title going forward.

Flatline is a teenager.

* HilariousInHindsight: The first villain's gimmick is killing people by ripping their hearts out. A week after the villain's debut, this coincidentally is how the first issue of ''ComicBook/Robin2021'' ends, with new character Flatline ripping Damian Wayne's heart out. Apparently the unique method of killing isn't so unique and a pre-teen girl can do it.

** Barbara revealing that Alfred wasn’t a butler because he needed the money, but because it was what he wanted to do.
** When she believed Dick was in trouble, Barbara decided to call in TheCavalry: Batman and the Titans. They almost lost Dick before; they're just making sure that it won't happen again. A pretty awesome scene as well until Dick calls Babs back and tells them all to stand down.
** Dick founding a charity named after the man who bequethed all his wealth to him: the Alfred Pennyworth Foundation. Bruce even calls Dick to thank him.
** When Dick is caught in an ambush by the fake Oracle in Crime Alley, Batman is there to help him out. They work as well together as they used to and when the fight is over Batman says that he still thought Nightwing could have gotten out of the situation by himself. When Dick asks why he interfered then, Bruce says that he watched his parents die in that alley, and [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther he couldn't bear to see his son die there as well.]]

Uh no. The will was already read way back when Dick had amnesia. This was just the portion that went to Dick — and while it was a huge sum of money, there was nothing that said it was ALL of it.
