Not only did everypony ignore him so they could have fun at the Crystal Kingdom, but nopony never thinks to ask Spike the savior of said Kingdom if he'd like to go. And just to rub salt in the wound, he has to repress his dragon instincts just to get some small reward out of this. Though he might come off as an idiot to some, how would you like to be told you weren't allowed to eat your favorite food, or as implied by the episode momentarily satisfy an incredibly addicting urge to eat gems?
