* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler: Bobby Benson's babies]] help Constantine and Dominic at one point, but don't get any consequences. [[spoiler: Though they are shown in the gulag with the Muppets and various celebrity cameos during the finale, but it's not said whether they are there because of their crime or just there to be part of the finale.]]
** Although, [[spoiler: the fact that they do not get to come down from the wall with the other Muppets, implies that they might be prisoners.]]
*** Floyd, Janice, Rowlf, Rizzo, '80s Robot, Sweetums, and other innocent Muppets [[spoiler: remain on the wall as well]]. So probably not.

* TooSoon: Many critics say that this movie won't do as well as the others due to the fact that most of the movie takes place in a Russian Gulag, and due to the problems in Russia at the moment....

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Pretty much every scene involving the inmates rehearsing for the revue, what with the insanely tight undergarments and midriff baring shirts.
** For that matter, the pin-up of Piggy Kermit kept in his cell. Um...that's an awfully racy picture for a kid's movie.

* ContestedSequel: This movie has been well-received overall, but not quite as much as ''Film/TheMuppets''. However, as noted below, a few fans prefer ''Most Wanted'' due to it not being a HumanFocusedAdaptation to any degree (unlike its more ambiguous predecessor) and, consequently, the much higher proportion of Muppet songs to human songs.

* ContestedSequel: This movie has been well-received overall, but not quite as much as ''Film/{{TheMuppets}}''. However, as noted below, a few fans prefer ''Most Wanted'' due to it not being a HumanFocusedAdaptation to any degree (unlike its more ambiguous predecessor) and, consequently, the much higher proportion of Muppet songs to human songs.

** The movie was well received by critics, getting about a 77% fresh ratings. Unfortunately, it became a box office disaster. It originally tracked for a $mid-20-millions but ended up getting crushed by the poorly-received opening of "Divergent." The latter opened with $55 million, a record for a young adult book outside of the "Harry Potter," "Twilight," and "Hunger Games" series. The new Muppets movie isn't expected to reach $55 million in ''lifetime'' grosses.
