* GodNeverSaidThat: For a while some fans were convinced that [[ spoiler: When the girl from Bloodstained Switch was given the injection, she split into two, eventually becoming Elluka and Irina. It was even considered fact on the Evillious Wiki for Pete's sake!]]. But it turns out they were misreading the information given by Mothy. And since The Original Sin Act II album came out, the references made to the song's events on Elluka,Irinia and MA's pages on the wiki have been removed, and that's probably for the best given what's actually be established in canon.

** MA, too. She [[spoiler: KILLED GALLERIAN'S ENTIRE FAMILY because he didn't want to work with her]]. Not to mention, she seems to be manipulating the hell out of [[spoiler: The Clockwork Doll]], too...

** ''The Madness of Duke Venomania'' Manga adaptation makes Lukana Octo a walking magnet of these. She was good friends with Lilien Tanner (a baker), and bought her a beautiful bracelet to match hers. In fact, looking for Lukana is Lilien's motivation to follow the duke at first. There's also an scene where Lukana is hugging and talking to Mikulia about the duke/their situation. Mikulia's only answer is that she loves Venomania... and she also loves Lukana.

* EvilIsCool / TrueArtIsAngsty: Mothy has written some songs that are actually pretty adorable (''Ten-Minute Love'', ''To The Reticent You'', ''South North Story'' and ''[=TwiRight=] Prank'') but he's most well known for writing [[TearJerker tragic]], [[MindScrew mind screwy]] and NightmareFuel filled stuff about horrible people, [[AnyoneCanDie people dying]], or [[KarmicDeath horrible people dying]].

* CompleteMonster: Played with, ''[[ZigZaggingTrope constantly]]''.
** [[spoiler: [[EvilMatriarch Prim Marlon]]]] and [[spoiler: [[DarkActionGirl Ney Futapie]]]] from ''Story of Evil'' seem to qualify as well. [[spoiler: Ney]] subverts it when she has a HeelRealization as she [[spoiler: dies, before being whisked away by the Demon of Gluttony]].
** [[AbusiveParents Rin's father in Flames of Yellow Phosphorous]]. He denies his daughter food and shelter and leaves her out in the snow, making her sell matches for money that he will likely be stuffing into his own pockets anyway. Rin of ''Flames of Yellow Phosphorus'' also counts, as she committed that crime because she had been denied food and shelter by her father.

** The objects representing the sins are a sword for Lust (a sword being a symbol of virility in some circles as well as [[FreudWasRight the obvious]]...), a drinking glass for Gluttony (drinking glasses often being used at fancy dinner parties), four mirrors for Pride (obviously), a clockwork doll for Sloth (a clockwork doll cannot move or do anything on it's own), a set of sewing scissors for Envy (well, okay this was ''in'' the song), a silver spoon for Greed (as in "[[BlueBlood born with a sliver spoon in your mouth]]"), and an as of late unknown item for Wrath.
** Speaking of the SevenDeadlySins, why did Eve's death release them? Because she had all seven within her; she felt despair at the loss of her children (Sloth), which then turned into hatred of others for having children of their own (Envy), a desire to take children of her own (Lust and Gluttony), stole from someone to do it (Greed), felt she deserved it more than someone else (Pride) and killed her to gain it (Wrath).
** The chronicles (or at least part of them) seem to be based on an early XVI century painting called "The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things" (The four last things are: Death (Graveyard), Judgement (Court), Hell (Hellish Yard) and Glory (Heavenly Yard)), considering the Masters' songs is a series called "The Final Four"...
** ''Re_birthday'' has a four-beat cadence and a four-color motif in the PV not just to represent Germaine, Kyle, Michaela and Rillianne, but also because FourIsDeath and the song itself (if one doesn't count [=TwiRight Prank=]) is the ''fourth'' song in the Story of Evil series!
*** The yellow/green/red/blue color motif also shows up briefly in ''Handbeat Clocktower'' because the song is an arrangement of ''Heartbeat Clocktower,'' which is also known as Clockwork Lullaby ''4.''
** The first lyric in the chorus of ''Red Shoes Parade'' is "Now go forth, the shadow parade", because 1) the parade is a band of [[DarkIsEvil evil]] people and 2) because the PV represents them with shadow puppets.
** Why is Gear so loyal to the Clockwork Doll? He's the awakened Vessel of Greed and the partial reincarnation of Gallerian Marlon, who thought of the Clockwork Doll as his daughter.
** Why does Michaela like to sing? Because she used to be a bird!
** Allegedly, Conchita used to be morbidly obese before an unusual illness depleted her weight. Now you know why she's constantly eating...because the illness left her body feeling empty and she kept eating to fill up that emptiness! Suddenly the lyrics take on a whole new meaning:

Ironically, knowing ''Moonlit Bear'' and ''Project MA'''s stories, all this information is true.
** One video for ''Conchita, the Epicurean Daughter of Evil'' shows Conchita wearing a neck brace. Of course she would need one, think about [[MasochistsMeal what she eats]] on a daily basis.
* FridgeHorror: Plenty of it.
** ''Judgement of Corruption'': Some lines imply that Gallerian Marlon doesn't only proclaim criminals innocent if they pay him, but that he also is willing to condemn wrongly accused people who ''don't'' pay him. The song takes place in a country where the death penalty is still in use. ''How many innocent people has he sentenced to death already?''
** ''The Madness of Duke Venomania'': It's known that [[ChildByRape Lukana became pregnant]], but that makes it likely that Venomania never used any sort of contraceptive. This went on for a year with a few dozen victims -- ''how many other women became pregnant?'' What about Rindo, who is heavily implied to be a young teenager?
*** It's implied in ''Flower of the Plateau'' that Venomania not only got Mikulia pregnant as well, but she [[spoiler: was already [[ReallyGetsAround impure]] to begin with. When she met her son years after abandoning him after his birth, she '''''[[MoralEventHorizon kills him]]''''' to make sure that no-one finds out that she's been with so many men]]. And didn't Elluka possess Lukana during/after the incident? [[spoiler: Was it Elluka who got pregnant?]]
** The boy in Pierrot the 5th is also the boy who was kidnapped in Moonlit Bear. Both Santa and his real mother are played by Meiko.
** ''Story of Evil'': At one point in the novels, Keel Freesis offers the Venom Sword to [[spoiler: Kyle Marlon]]. Although he refuses, he still is severely affected by the demon of Lust just from ''looking'' at the sword. What would have happened if he had actually ''taken'' it?

** The scene in ''Escape of Salmhofer the Witch'', where Meta resolves to protect her children [[spoiler: from being experimented on]] is very touching.

** Meta Salmhofer, in ''Escape of Salmhofer the Witch''. Growing up without parents and engaging in a life of crime for a while, she had a [[HeelFaceTurn change of heart]] after giving birth to twins, and resolved to protect her children [[spoiler: from experimentation]], only to get murdered and her children kidnapped [[spoiler: by someone who'd gotten Meta arrested for something she didn't do previously.]]

** Played straightest with the Red Shoes Parade; they're a band of StrawHypocrite {{Knight Templar}}s who [[spoiler: beat an innocent man to death and steal his stuff, rape a mother and her children and force their father to watch, and murder a man and steal all his food. And they do this ForTheEvulz with the extremely flimsy excuse of "Grand Justice". Fortunately, [[KarmicDeath they get theirs in the end]]]].

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Many, but [[spoiler: Eve Moonlit]] deserves a special mention. [[spoiler: How much of her AxCrazy tendencies in Moonlit Bear came from the {{Lunacy}} and how much from her own deranged psyque? She had been given a brainwashing drug for at least a few months before Project [Ma] failed, and who knows what side effects it could carry. Also, the Evils Kingdom Booklet states her obsession with having children tainted her with the original sin, [[FridgeHorror and in Project [Ma] she's seen with insecurities about being a mother until Adam convinces her it's alright]].]]

** Irina deserves special mention here, [[spoiler: after all she is pretty much the one manipulating EVERY single character (Not even 'Elluka' of all people saves herself from this ...literally) behind the events of Story of Evil and the Pere Noel Organization]], we could fill an entire article just listing each one of her schemes, including [[spoiler: manipulating Prim Marlon the former resident MagnificentBastard]]
