You've got the fans who think he's a great addition to the roster, the fans who are vehemently against his presence in the game, the fans pestering Netherrealm Studios to add a 360 exclusive character, and the fans who just don't care about him being in the game.

*** [[ScrappyMechanic Babalities]] are back in the game. Without Friendships to accompany them. That is all that needs to be said.

* VideoGameRemake: One could argue that the game was approached in this fashion with regards to ''Mortal Kombat Trilogy'', since it seems to be reuniting everybody from the first three games; in fact, the only such face not yet leaked or confirmed in any capacity is [[OurCentaursAreDifferent Motaro]], and including him -- even in ''Armageddon'' form -- would probably [[GameBreakingBug affect fatalities and X-ray attacks in odd ways.]]

* FetishFuel: Apparently, in Kahn's arena, there are other characters outside Kano and Sonya that are chained up... including [[LadyOfWar Kitana]]. Judging on how {{Stripperiffic}} her costume is, as well as how her mouth cover can make it look like a [[BoundAndGagged gag]]... Well...
* FetishFuelStationAttendant[=/=]FetishRetardant: Mileena. The retardant hits whe she [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily takes out her mouth cover.]]

** Shang Tsung's ''Bang Bang!'' fatality. Some find it a hilarious TakeThat towards the Joker's censored fatality in MortalKombatVsDCUniverse. Others see it as completely OutOfCharacter or ill-fitting for Shang Tsung.

** Speaking of Cage, his victory pose is hilarious; his glasses crack in half as he's posing, and without missing a beat, he whips out another pair, puts them on, and grins at the camera with a cheesy "flashing teeth" effect. [[Movie/MortalKombat So much for those $500 sunglasses, eh asshole?]]

* IKnewIt: Seeing as ''[[MortalKombatDeception Deception]]''[='s=] Konquest mode established that Kenshi (the [[HandicappedBadass blind]] [[DisabilitySuperpower swordsman]] from ''[[MortalKombatDeadlyAlliance Deadly Alliance]]'' and one of the few {{Ensemble Darkhorse}}s from the post-''[=MK3=]'' era) had been around since the time of the first game (he had apparently MissedTheCall for joining the tournament, and thus missed his chance to enact his revenge on Shang Tsung), many assumed that he had a good chance of making it onto the roster here. * FetishFuelStationAttendant / FetishRetardant: Mileena.

*** Goro's X-ray move deserves special mention, he lifts up his opponent, this squeezes their head ''so hard'' their skull CRACKS, exposing some of the brain. This is then followed by a one handed toss to the ground, which breaks the skull and neck even further

* HilariousInHindsight: One of the achievements of the game is "ThereCanBeOnlyOne". ChristopherLambert, who played Raiden in [[Film/MortalKombat the first movie]], also played Connor [=MacLeod=] in the Highlander movie.

* FridgeBrilliance: The new x-ray attacks inflict rather horrible damage to the victim, broken bones, destroyed organs, etc. And yet, characters can still keep fighting through injuries that would be fatal to normal human beings; presumably, everyone has sufficient superhuman stamina, durability, or regeneration to survive things like exploded spleens and smashed skulls. Suddenly, those end of fight fatalities make sense- they aren't gratuitous overkill, they are the only way to actually make your opponent *stay* down.

* HilariousInHindsight: One of the achievements of the game is "ThereCanBeOnlyOne". ChristopherLambert, who played Raiden in the first movie, also played Connor MacLeod in Highlander.
