This example contradicts itself. If most fans agree that it's part of the canon, then why is there a big disagreement about whether it's the same continuity or an Alternate Continuity? Word Of God confirms that Samus doesn't die at the end of EX. The manga is set between Super and Fusion. Idzuki Kouji has also said that he imagines what Samus would be doing after EX.
