** The narm is so strong that it's taken to almost ''sacrilegious'' levels, since Beyblading is apparently ''such'' SeriousBusiness that, in the ''Beyblade'' canon, ''[[BeethovenWasAnAlienSpy Moses used a Bey to part the friggin' Red Sea]]''. It's so ridiculous that a type of [[NarmCharm grandeur seeps into it]], and has reached [[MemeticMutation memetic]] levels even outside of the Beyblade community. Jokes that Moses had used his Bey to challenge the Pharaoh and his magicians' own Beys and/or their [[Franchise/YuGiOh card monsters]] prior to parting the Red Sea are very common. It's common for people to joke that the history of this world is decided with famous figures [[DuelsDecideEverything using beyblades instead of conventional weaponry]] due to their ridiculous power and even other events in the Bible are handled the same way, some even going as far to say that the Bey's rotation concept was taken a step further by Jesus, who would invent the [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Infinite Spin]].

* {{Woolseyism}}: Tetsuya's Cancer Beyblade (named for the constellation that resembles a crab) was renamed "Gasher" in the North American franchise, probably so people wouldn't think of the "other" kind of "cancer" (especially since Tetsuya is a rival)...

** During his battle with Reiji, Hyoma gets rather emotional once [[spoiler:Aries gets absolutely destroyed]]. Come the next mainline series, ''Anime/BeybladeBurst'', where [[spoiler:destroying the opponent's Bey]] is an integral part of the game.

* HilariousInHindsight: Metal Fury's BigBad is revealed to be a Bey who is known and feared as the God of Destruction. Years later, ''Anime/DragonBallZBattleOfGods'' introduced Beerus, who carries that exact title.

* DarthWiki/MostAnnoyingSound:
** For some Gingka's English Dub voice especially after ''Fusion'' where it got more high pitched as the series went on.
** Team Garcia's Enzo's catchphrase: Amazing Huh!?

* BadassDecay: Early on in the first season Hyoma was presented as Gingka's longtime rival who has always defeated him in the Green Hades stadium. But as the season went on he kept getting subjected to TheWorfEffect losing to Gingka, Kyoya, Tsubasa as well as losing in the first round of Battle Bladers. On top of that, he had a really poor win record only defeating Benkei, Kenta, & Hikaru once. What's worse is that his signature move, his Eternal Defense spin track is overshadowed by bladers who can do the same and are far more skilled than him, such as Jigsaw, Chao Xin and Toby.

* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Sora Akatsuki is popular despite his few appearances.

* {{Bowdlerise}}: "Killer" was renamed as "Evil" in America for predictable (though nonetheless practical) reasons. "Basalt Horogium" was renamed to "Twisted Tempo" by Nelvana and Hasbro for unknown reasons, while Giraffe was replaced with Zurafa. Additionally, Masamune's Ray Unicorn is now "Ray Striker", even though a unicorn is clearly portrayed on the face bolt. Then there's Gravity Perseus, which was given the horribly generic name of Gravity "Destroyer". It doesn't help that the episode it appears in clearly references "Perseus", the hero from Greek legend who slew Medusa[[note]] As in the gorgon with snakes for hair who turned anyone who looked at her into stone[[/note]].
* CargoShip / FoeYay: Doji and cacti. Says he hates them, but keeps a bunch of them in his office.

** A gang of bullies are going around tormenting younger and inexperienced bladers. One of those bladers just happens a [[CheerfulChild cute kid]] around the age of 10. One of the heroes enter the town and tries to defend the cute kid.
** All Rock Scorpio's Deadly Poison does is replace Kyoya with Busijima, has Sora take Kenta's role, with Kenta himself taking Gingka's role (Gingka still appears, but not in the major role he did in Pegasus and Leone).

* TheScrappy:
** ''Benkei''. Though, his hatedom may have contributed to the English Dub giving him an annoyingly squeaky voice as well as his "B-B-B-Bull!!!" {{catchphrase}}. His [[HoYay obsessive behavior towards his best friend Kyoya]] can also get tiring to some fans too since it becomes less funny and more redundant, especially since ''90% of his dialogue'' is about him. The fact that he also gets DemotedToExtra from ''Masters'' onward and therefore having little plot relevance certainly hasn't helped.
** Team Garcia, for mixing CombatPragmatist with DirtyCoward. Not even their backstory, which averts HeartwarmingOrphan, is enough to earn them a pass for most of the fanbase. To some, it's the fact that they tried to pull off the HeartwarmingOrphan routine to justify their acts. Because having a sympathetic backstory is supposed to make you instantly forgivable, right?
*** And among the whole group, Enzo stands out due to bratty personality and the [[MostAnnoyingSound nerve-grating]] "[[CatchPhrase Amazing,huh?]]"
** Team Lovushka isn't well liked by many either. The problem was that they had little to no plot relevance which makes them seem like a waste of time. Whilst some fans don't necessarily ''hate'' two of their members (Aleksi and Nowaguma), Lera stands out to some as they find her bratty personality as well as being an InsufferableGenius to be her most annoying traits. It doesn't help that like Team Garcia, they also cheat.
*** On the other hand, they did end up redeeming themselves by firing their coach who was responsible for their methods and have stayed that way since.

* [[VocalEvolution Traumatic Vocal Evolution]]: Notice how Benkei's voice is much deeper, cooler, and menacing in the first episode of the dub? Following his self-induced GroinAttack in episode 2 by falling on a steel girder, it changes into the squeaker, goofier sounding voice from then on. Guess he did some permanent damage to his boys with that one. FridgeHorror, anyone?

* AwesomeButImpractical: In the DS Metal Masters game, Pisces' Distortion Drive. It teleports above the opponent from anywhere in the stadium to deal DeathFromAbove. Seems like a GameBreaker so far...Only the InstantRunes emerging under the opponent make it VERY easy to predict and counter with a special move.

** Sora Akatsuki is popular despite few appearances.

* LauncherOfAThousandShips: Ginga, often to ridiculous levels. He's been shipped with Madoka, Hikaru, Masamune, Kyoya, Ryuuga, Kenta, Hyoma... and the list just keeps on going.

** Masamune. Though he started off as somewhat of a CreatorsPet (to some fans anyway) as well as being an {{Expy}} to Daichi, (A [[TheScrappy Scrappy]] from the original ''Beyblade'' series), fans quickly warmed up to him for having more depth than Daichi did as well being a bit more sympathetic. Some fans also agree that he's not as annoying as Daichi (although you may find some who think otherwise).

** ''Benkei''. Though, his hatedom may have contributed to the English Dub giving him an annoyingly squeaky voice as well as his "B-B-B-Bull!!!" {{catchphrase}}. * ThatOneBoss: The DS games have them in [[AxCrazy Van]] for Metal Fusion and [[EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs Agito]] for Metal Masters. Van's Belzebrute has insane Stamina and Dark Stream as a special move, which is an instant Crash Out thus giving him 3 points out of 4 needed to win, so if he uses it and has even if one win against you, game over. Agito's Nightmare Rex has insane range with [[ThatOneAttack King's Roar]], a shockwave with range only rivaled by Capricorn's Sniper Shot, which will most likely whittle your bey's stamina down with constant hits unless you can either get out of its range or hit Nightmare Rex as it readies the move. And even closing in isn't a 100% safe strategy as Agito can still hit you with Nova Strike. And god help you if you're playing with Mei-Mei, Hikaru or Ryutaro.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: Though nobody gets mistaken for a girl in the series, Ryuutaro, Teru and Jack all have some very feminine looks. And Tsubasa's first appearance was complete with the sparkles that are usually reserved for pretty girls.
** It's to the point that almost every other dude has feminine looks, particularly long hair and bared midriffs. A lot of them look more like women then the actual women.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The Metal Masters DS game has Team Starbreaker and Team Garcia's Beyblades, but the actual characters aren't playable. Dark Poseidon is also featured but Bakin isn't playable, despite Helios being a playable character. The same also goes for the Manga-Only ''Divine Chimera TR 145 FB'' and ''Mercury Anubius 85 XF'' from ''4D''.
* TheWoobie: Many characters have at least one moment like this. Mainly, Ginga after we find out about his backstory.
** Also Tsubasa. Poor, poor Tsubasa...

While he was right to be angry at Masamune for leaving America without coming back or even contacting him and their (at the time) sick friend, Toby, and that most of his hostility could be attributed to the effects of the Arrangement system, him not even giving Masamune the chance to explain why he didn't come back, flat out accusing him of abandoning them, and then insulting Masamune's new friends causes him to lose a lot of sympathy. It also didn't help that he's never seen apologizing to Masamune since most of what happened to Toby was also Zeo's own fault for blindly trusting Ziggurat, aka a total stranger at the time. It's likely possible that he apologized some time offscreen, seeing how close Zeo, Masamune and Toby have become in Metal Fury, but still...
