After the near universally loved ''VideoGame/MegaMan9'' and ''VideoGame/MegaMan10'' which were widely regarded to have pulled the classic series out of its DorkAge, it certainly has some big shoes to fill. This, combined with ''Creator/{{Capcom}}'''s infamous treatment of the franchise as a whole in the last few years and the series [[VideoGame/MightyNo9 creator's infamous attempt at breaking off of the company and the sheer cluster that resulted from it]] has caused a lot of people to not have high hopes for 11. Whether or not it manages to pull the franchise out of it's DorkAge like 9 did or not has yet to be seen.

** In [[CompilationRerelease Mega Man Legacy Collection 2]], they let a piece of 'completely random' concept art, and just handwaved it as concepts they might never use.
** When Roll got a new Nendoroid figure, it was using her brand new never-before-seen design, It was marketed as an anniversary edition version of Roll, not even mentioning this game was even in development.
*** The only suspicions were from the moderator of Rockman Corner, who noticed that both pieces of concept art were the same style, and suspected something.
