What makes it worse is that the video was uploaded ''3 days'' before the incident. Kind of makes it harder to watch now.

** At the end of the video where he gets slapped by both LetsPlay/PewDiePie and LetsPlay/JackSepticEye, Mark jokingly said that Pewds desperately needed more subscribers. Fast-forward to late-2018, and Pewds ''actually'' needed more subscribers to stay ahead of his closest competition, Creator/TSeries.

** With either Yamimash or LetsPlay/JackSepticEye. This is often [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] in their collabs and [[ShipTease they tend to share more fodder for this]].
** In his second Google Feud video, he was given the search "Why is my boyfriend so...". One of his guesses? LetsPlay/JackSepticEye.

Although this could be mediated by the fact Mark's change of Darkiplier was done less out of "copying ANTI" and more of "I want this character to be scary and ''not'' [[DracoInLeatherPants something fan girls adore]]", which this later on made better following [[spoiler: Dark's origin in ''WebVideo/WhoKilledMarkiplier'']].

* NeverLiveItDown:
** The ''Undertale'' debacle. One can admit the fanbase of the game ''did'' ruin Mark's experience for the game, but his entire demeanor didn't help matters regarding it. Even after he decided to play the game again with Tyler, some people still never let him go for it.
** On a more comedic note, ever since Will You Press the Button, nobody will let him forget that he blew up the city of Detroit for a piece of cake.
** His complete over-the-top meltdowns when playing VideoGame/GettingOverItWithBennettFoddy. Not just his screaming and raging, but him throwing a chair (twice!) and his mouse, it was later animated and instead of throwing his chair he does an elbow drop on it, breaking it. Rage compilations for the game always show the time Markiplier threw his chair due to him completely losing it at the game.

** The reveal about [[spoiler:the protagonist getting his head chomped in]] in his fifth video for ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4'' leaves him in stunned silence, gaping like a fish.
