*** Unless, of course, you want to go toe-to-toe with them. Hit them enough times and they ''will'' be stunned... but that tends to be a ''very'' bad idea unless they are completely and totally alone. Oh, and you lose points for raising the alarm. It is possible to beat them into dizziness without raising the alarm, but it requires hitting them relentlessly until they're stunned; stopping for a second and letting them get a look at you will instantly actiave the alarm.

** Elite Guards. They cannot be dispatched via normal means (trying to kill them before anything will result in a rather embarrassing NeckLift NoSell), you must either use the environment or a ninja tool to at least stun them before moving for the kill; AND if you fail the quick-time event they will ''snap out of it'' just in time to counterattack. The biggest problem is that there's no way to kill them in certain places unless you use up one of your very scarce attack items, otherwise you have to avoid them entirely.
*** Unless, of course, you want to go toe-to-toe with them. Hit them enough times and they ''will'' be stunned... but that tends to be a ''very'' bad idea unless they are completely and totally alone. Oh, and you lose points for raising the alarm.
