* DemonicSpiders: Snipers. They come even now and then, but are generally positioned in obnoxious places, [[OneHitKill kill the Marked Ninja in a single shot]] and to make matters worse they can spot him even in complete darkness unless the Marked Ninja is hiding.

** [[spoiler:[[EliteMook The Hisomu Stalkers]]]]. Not only they cannot be stealth killed as they have keen senses (they can identify the Marked Ninja within a certain radius), are extremely agile, persistent, cunning and their attacks can kill the ninja instantly. They also need to be stunned akin the Elites but are far more agile and acrobatic meaning that physical combat will most likely result in a NoSell. [[spoiler:The final trial of the game has you temporarily locked in a large room with '''three''' of these]].

** Elite Guards. They cannot be dispatched via normal means (trying to kill them before anything will result in a rather embarrassing NeckLift NoSell), you must either use the environment or a ninja tool to at least stun them before moving for the kill; AND if you fail the quick-time event they will ''snap out of it'' just in time to counterattack. The biggest problem is that there's no way to kill them in certain places unless you use up one of your very scarce attack items, otherwise you have to avoid them entirely.
*** Unless, of course, you want to go toe-to-toe with them. Hit them enough times and they ''will'' be stunned... but that tends to be a ''very'' bad idea unless they are completely and totally alone. Oh, and you lose points for raising the alarm.
