* InternetBacklash: Good lord, this game has been subject to a significant backlash, in reaction to the decisions of the creator in regards to the game's community. [[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XXhFSC0yMqvU3zXXqjwOfAayAuxVLsOTk-OaUs0JzHk/edit Here's a comprehensive record of the backlash]]. Notable in the creator's actions:
** Flagging negative reviews of the game as being "abusive" or "off topic".
** Using a copyrighted species without permission or royalties to the creator, and calling the creator "greedy" once he does comply.
** Leaving the character of a contributor in the game and not removing him from the advertising, promoting a DMCA takedown of the game.
** Breaking a truce of one of the game's reviewers and claiming "victory" over them despite the mutual agreement and after the creator's public apology.
** Further attempts to discredit the negative reviewers through the community forums.

* CounterpartComparison: A character who is able to stop time and teleport people, and whose origin, name, and motives aren't clear at first. Is this The Man from the Ark, or [[VideoGame/HalfLife The G-Man]]?

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Eclair, mostly due to the fact that [[spoiler:the GoldenEnding requires you to completely avoid her subplot - she's actually the only character you will ''never'' see at all if you're getting all the true ending flags. * ViewerGenderConfusion: Caylen looks very effeminate, between his pink hair, similarly colored collar, and somewhat androgynous body shape, but none of the characters mistake him for a girl, always using male pronouns when referring to him.

*JerkassWoobie:
**Rook is a textbook example. Sure, he acts like a condescending smartass who often insults others using BrutalHonesty but the scene where he breaks down crying over [[spoiler: the real reason he's so addicted to his tablet]] will make you wish there was a third "hug Rook" option button to click, even if he threatens to end you if the truth comes out. Later on, he's pushed even deeper into {{Woobie}} territory when he gets [[spoiler: psychologically tortured and nearly killed by a bomb.]]
**[[spoiler: Kila AKA Eddie]] is an interesting case. Sure, he acts like a NiceGuy when you first meet him but he's actually, [[spoiler: impersonating his dead brother and blaming you for his brother's suicide. As messed up as that is, keep in mind that he cried for hours over his twin's death and was deeply upset over it. That being said, Eddie's an interesting hybrid of a JerkassWoobie and a BitchInSheepsClothing.]]
**Shock also qualifies as he [[spoiler: lost not only Klace but Rocker as well.]]
*{{Moe}}: [[https://www.furaffinity.net/view/18170076/ Inumi]] is this to a lot of fans.

** Also, the texting feature. It's prominently advertised on the Steam listing for the game, but barring a few texts from other characters, it isn't used. Weirdly enough, you'll get contact information from other characters, but still never use it at all.

** Dazz, also. [[spoiler:It could have been interesting to see how her character would play out, trying to cope with stress when Singe puts her in the spotlight within a day of one of her closest friends being murdered, but she only appears in a small handful of cutscenes and the player doesn't even get to directly interact with her.

**Then there's the ending credits theme and the songs played during both True and Neutral Endings.
**And a decent amount of the game's music is pretty awesome at times too, such as The Ark's theme...despite everything except the vocal songs and Amoore's music being stock RPG Maker tracks.
