However due to his personality and him usually appearing harsh it may not seem like it that also maybe where his ControlFreak tendencies come from.

** This is most likely not part of the trope. In the scene, it is a school dance, so "coordinating their bodies" likely refers to dancing. Could also fall under DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything.

* HollywoodTactics: [[spoiler: A person with a duel gauntlet and sufficient mana theoretically can summon a creature (kaiju) if he or she knows the creature's name. After The Choten perfects his kaiju mind control collar, why doesn't he just summon and capture all of the Heroes' and Duel Masters' primary creatures instead of waiting until episode 25 to do it? Prior to episode 24, the Heroes' and Duel Masters did not know where The Choten's base was.]]

* CompleteMonster: The Choten; the Kaijudo Masters might just see the Creatures as weapons, but they at least bother with ensuring their protection and taking care of them like pets (or properly maintained tools). The Choten, on the other hand, experiments on them, imprisons them, uses them as living batteries, and doesn't care about the pain he causes them (nor about the damages they cause when he lets them loose on Earth). And he only get worst and worst as the series goes on. Ray even lampshades it during their fight:

* TheWoobie: Ray, Gabe, and Allie. Ray because of his DisappearedDad, his being bullied for his mixed heritage, and his over-all nature lending to him not making many "normal" friends.[[hottip:*:He had no problem not going to the school dance, not that he had a date for it anyway.]] Gabe for being an overweight nerd[[hottip:*:a self-proclaimed nerd at that]] who has no friends outside of Ray and Allie and for being constantly picked on at school and by his brothers at home. Allie seems ok at first glance, but she actually has some deep-seated mommy abandonment issue.
** IronWoobie: Tatsurion: he was constantly bullied and belittled by the dragon side of his family with his father never raising a finger and even refusing to acknowledge him as his son; the Quillspike side of his family mocked him and even gave him a silly surname, and after he grew up, he ended up a wanted criminal of the whole Fire Civilization, with his dragon sister, Moorna, trying to kill him. Yet, don't expect him to even shiver about it.

*** Roaming Bloodmane when he first appeared. He was trapped on this side of the Veil, thought he was the last of his kind, was ruthless to his human prey and completely distrustful of the Duel Masters. Yet all he'd ever wanted to do was go home.
