* WhatAnIdiot: Carny in ''Caught in the Spotlight''. Mere moments after his father advises him not to do anything stupid, he summons his creature in a public venue to show it to his friends, and he starts indiscriminately using its attack to show off. Not only does he almost cause an accident, but a picture of him ends up on the Internet, his father is enraged, and the Choten is after him.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Is Master Nigel Brightmore a WellIntentionedExtremist who truly believes in Kaijudo traditions, or a JerkAss with a huge inferiority complex toward creatures? Made even more debatable following [[spoiler:his FaceHeelTurn.]] Nigel is most likely a WellIntentionedExtremist rather that it being an inferiority complex due to having seen the worst from creature kind such as when Toji lost his leg to a creature after attempting to ride it and when Master Tiera was betrayed and killed by her creature partner. He probably has come to expect the worst from creatures. However due to his personality and him usually appearing harsh it may not seem like it that also maybe where his ControlFreak tendencies come from.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Is Master Nigel Brightmore a WellIntentionedExtremist Well-Intentioned Extremist who truly believes in Kaijudo traditions, or a JerkAss with a huge inferiority complex toward creatures? who wants nothing but power and control. Made even more debatable following [[spoiler:his FaceHeelTurn.]] Nigel is most likely his Face Heel Turn.
** Nigel's views on creatures can either be interpreted as him having
a WellIntentionedExtremist rather that it being an inferiority superiority complex or that he is simply mistrustful and resentful of creatures due to having seen the worst from creature kind such as when Toji lost his leg to a creature after attempting to ride it and when Master Tiera was betrayed and killed by her creature partner.partner. In addition the incident with Sasha at the prom seemed to reinforce this as well. He probably has come to expect the worst from creatures. However due to his personality and him usually appearing harsh it may not seem like it that also maybe where his ControlFreak tendencies come from. The fact that he joined a man who represents all the worst aspects of humanity that is motivated purely by his own lust for power and ruling two worlds doesn't help. This is something he acknowledges but is desperate enough to do for the sake of not having to completely relinquish his beliefs; it has been a point throughout the show that The Choten's way and Kaijudo aren't all that different simply varying in extremes, he most likely felt that The Choten and his ways were the closest he would now be able to come to Kaijudo. His growing resentment of the kids may also have been the trigger for his action seeing as how they perverted what Kaijudo was.

Deleted for being nattery and uncessessary- as was shown, the Choten \'\'can\'\' be charismatic, particularly around people who don\'t know him well, so he fulfils the \"charisma\" requirement.

** The Choten fails the "charismatic" requirement of this trope. Nobody really likes him, and he is not seen winning over anybody with his personality.
*** Well, Alakshmi was devoted to him at the beginning, and the Cyber Lords initially trusted him more than the protagonists, so I assume he is only disliked by those who known how sick he is. Also, in-universe, he is not charismatic, but when it comes to the fans...
**** Your point on Alakshmi and the Cyber Lords is valid. He can be charismatic when he wants to be, it seems.

These aren\'t YMMV. Moving.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Sasha's interpretation of music like humans "coordinating their bodies".
** This is most likely not part of the trope. In the scene, it is a school dance, so "coordinating their bodies" likely refers to dancing. Could also fall under DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything.

* HollywoodTactics: [[spoiler: A person with a duel gauntlet and sufficient mana theoretically can summon a creature (kaiju) if he or she knows the creature's name. After The Choten perfects his kaiju mind control collar, why doesn't he just summon and capture all of the Heroes' and Duel Masters' primary creatures instead of waiting until episode 25 to do it? Prior to episode 24, the Heroes' and Duel Masters did not know where The Choten's base was.]]
** He probably wanted to wait until they were off-guard or something.

* CompleteMonster: The Choten; the Kaijudo Masters might just see the Creatures as weapons, but they at least bother with ensuring their protection and taking care of them like pets (or properly maintained tools). The Choten, on the other hand, experiments on them, imprisons them, uses them as living batteries, and doesn't care about the pain he causes them (nor about the damages they cause when he lets them loose on Earth). And he only get worst and worst as the series goes on. Ray even lampshades it during their fight:
