* CrossesTheLineTwice: From using his mother's death as part of a storyline to constantly making jokes about his own near-death, is there anything that Jerry finds offensive? (and these are just two examples of the last 3 years of his four-decade career)

* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: As a color analyst when teamed with Mauro Renallo on Smackdown. The pairing returned him to his heel sympathizing roots and showed he was still capable of snark.

* HoYay: You know Wrestling/MichaelCole is currently gay for Wrestling/TheMiz? Lawler was that for Wrestling/TripleH, Wrestling/KurtAngle, Wrestling/RandyOrton, Wrestling/VinceMcMahon, {{Heel}} [[Wrestling/DwayneJohnson Rock]], and pretty much every big name villain in the WWE while he was a heel.

* DudeNotFunny:
** Michael Cole used the recent death of Jerry Lawler's mother to gain [[XPacHeat (the wrong kind of)]] heat going into ''[=WrestleMania=]''. The look Lawler gave Cole was equal parts sorrow, disgust, and rage.
** His constant jibes at VickieGuerrero's weight, largely because Vickie's weight gain came shortly after her husband Eddie died and she has since ''lost'' most of the weight anyway.

** His present day face announcer role is this for some fans who grew up (and secretly enjoyed) Lawler's heel-biased announcing in the 1990's.

** As a face, he talks about Wrestling/JohnCena like a lovesick teenaged girl.

* NeverLiveItDown: Jerry Lawler was arrested for raping an under aged girl. He was let off without any charges when it was discovered she had been lying but he would be mocked about it at ECW years after the fact. Now you know why ECW has the place it does on his trope list.

* UnfortunateImplications: Lawler's commentary in 2012 is depressingly rife with these, especially towards parental abuse. Two recent pieces stick out:

** And FridgeHorror sets in when you realize this goes further and implies Wrestling/DustyRhodes attempted infanticide.
** His commentary during the Wrestling/{{Triple H}} vs. Wrestling/BookerT feud where he would bring up the latter's convict past ''every'' time, especially as there were racial implications implied even without it.

* NeverLiveItDown: Jerry Lawler was arrested for raping an under aged girl. He was let off without any charges when it was discovered she had been lying but he would be mocked about it at ECW years after the fact.

** Another example happened on the GAMEFAQS PWB:WWE board. Not long before the incident user ranted about Lawler saying "You get respect by showing respect", causing him to ask God to smite Lawler(expressing his frustration of Lawler's face character). Abouth 30 minutes or so after the topic was made, [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor Lawler collapsed]], resulting in a major OhCrap reaction from the user as well as everyone else in the topic.

** What's funny is that "puppies!" wasn't invented by him. It occurred in a match between Jeff Jarrett and the "Road Dogg" Jesse James. Jarrett was accompanied by his valet Debra, who was... well-enhanced. James said that if he won the match, "since [he was] the Road Dogg, he wanted to see her puppies!" Doesn't officially qualify for MisBlamed, since King was the one who ran it

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: In WWE '13 if you are having a match with Eve Torres you'll occassionally hear Jerry Lawler make a comment about needing an EMT at ringside because his "heart skipped a beat." It's fairly cringeworthy when you remember that Lawler had a major heart attack on live TV in September 2012 that nearly killed him. In THQ's defense the audio commentary had been done for awhile at that point and Lawler himself has already made these kinds of jokes following his return.
** During a promo segment way back in Memphis Wrestling (against a young JimCornette), he came out from backstage clutching his chest saying "this is the big one!"

** An ironic example occurred in Wrestlemania 28. During the "Team Teddy/Team Johnny" match, Lawler mocked the bright suit that JohnLaurinaitis wore to the ring. He commented that that suit "would give Brother Love a heart attack". While the joke was slightly questionable at the time (Bruce Prichard, who portrayed Brother Love, actually had two heart attacks sometime before the comment), it seems a bit uncomfortable to hear after Lawler's heart attack five months later.

** His commentary during the Wrestling/{{Triple H}}/Wrestling/BookerT feud where he would bring up the latter's convict past ''every'' time, especially as there were racial implications implied even without it.

* DorkAge: His "puppies!" phase is generally considered the lowest point of his career as WWE's color commentator. Before then, he played a magnificent heel commentator during his days as a foe against BretHart and later was RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap by turning face.
