* TrappedByMountainLions: The LA plotline is irrelevant to the main plot and is widely considered the weakest part of the show. The fact that Carlos has yet to meet any of the others doesn't help.

Idiot Ball isn\'t YMMV. Moving.

* IdiotBall: Renautas. To a worrying degree. The Earth is about to undergo a global extinction event, so logically the first step is to turn public opinion against the evolved race of superbeings who have saved the world already several times, kill/harvest them for power, imprison arguably the most powerful and use his ability to send plants and animals forward in time to repopulate the ruined Earth. Instead of, maybe, using all that time and energy to instead stop the catastrophe from happening at all. Possibly subverted ala WellIntentionedExtremist, as ongoing plot developments seem to hint that the coming disaster is a planet-scale event that cannot be stopped, only survived.
** Adding to the Idiot Ball is their refusal to tell anyone else about the aforementioned impending doom, because a lot of the people they've been kidnapping or killing would probably help willingly and/or get out of the way if they just knew why.
*** Noah letting Erica ramble on about her plan instead of just shooting her and solving the problem right away.
**** Similarly, Future Hiro letting Erica walk away when he could have easily stopped time and either killed her or teleported her somewhere else, which again, would solve the problem.

* WinBackTheCrowd: What the show appears to aim for in regards to the parent series' SeasonalRot.
* SpecialEffectsFailure: As is inevitable with a TV budget, even a huge one. Some of the power effect failures are things we have seen in the original series; for instance, multiple evo's powers in the first episode have a body-blurring effect that appears very similar to the one used on Candace Wilmer in Season 1. The pyrotechnics budget seems to be a bit smaller than in the first series, with more CG utilized than controlled burns. A butterfly that may or may not be significant as a motif in the plot appears this way too - it is very obviously CGI'd into the scenes it appears in.

Apparently for some reason And There Was Much Rejoicing is an \"only on its own page one\", so moving it there instead. Odd that that one gets the treatment when so many of the toxic darth wiki ones don\'t...

* AndTheFandomRejoiced - The series as a whole seems to be living up to the "reborn" part of the name, harkening back to the well-thought-out interwoven plot threads and character-centric focus of the first series' early seasons, without simply rehashing the same territory or abandoning the interesting plot developments of the final season. The once-burned fandom may be understandably hesitant to declare the rejoicing official, but signs are pointing toward potential trumpets and feasting.

* SpecialEffectsFailure: While the original series had a few cringeworthy moments, like the out-of-frame fight between Sylar and Peter in the BadFuture of season one, this series seems to be attempting to top that. The first series had relatively realistic effects for pyrokinesis, something the first episode of Reborn is... lacking in.
