* SpaceWhaleAesop: While the broad message of the film- that PositiveDiscrimination is ''still discrimination'' and still terrible- is entirely valid, the more narrow message of the film- [[spoiler: white people will literally [[GrandTheftMe steal your body]] if you're black so they can be "better"]]- is... fairly fantastical, to say the least.

** Yes and no. Due to the red box he knows the body and its original owner is a victim like he nearly was. It was also due to Missy having dredged up his memory of his mother's death via hit and run that made it impossible for Chris to leave her. Plus, she could have served as proof of his story.

* WhatAnIdiot: Chris picking up Georgina after hitting her with a car, despite previously being told people like her had their consciousness' overwritten by someone comfortable with abduction, non-consensual surgery, and body jacking.

* MoralEventHorizon: Chris stopped just short of crossing it in the climax when [[spoiler:he passes up the rifle to strangle Rose, after she was neutralized and in no position to keep up the procedure even if she survived.]]
** The worst part? That's ''nothing'' compared to what [[spoiler: Rose herself who firmly crossed it before the movie even started! She tricked several black man and women into loving her so she could lure them to her family. And if her interactions with Chris are any implication, she frequently subjected her previous victims to gas-lighting, played with their emotions, and ultimately manipulated them until her family was ready to put their horrific plan into motion.]]

[[spoiler:Nonconsensual brain surgery, complete with graphic visual of the top of someone's skull coming off, ''Film/AClockworkOrange''-style forcible indoctrination, whatever is wrong with [[AxeCrazy Jeremy]], and a high-concentration dose of AndIMustScream once you realize what's been done to the Armitage family's servants.]]
** What happens to Chris under hypnosis -- plunged into a featureless void, forced to helplessly watch what's happening to his physical body as if he's seeing it through a tiny television screen, as his consciousness sinks deeper and deeper into darkness. And when somebody else closes his eyelids... lights out.
