** Kaze's aforementioned summoning, which he does with his Magun. (And yes, it ''is'' [[GunsDoNotWorkThatWay as stupidly awesome as you would imagine]].) It takes ''forever'', happens OncePerEpisode, and other than the color of the capsules [[RecycledAnimation it is exactly the same each instance it happens]]. But even then, it is undeniably badass and Kaze's voice actor in both Japanese and English does a great job in helping its case. The summons always doing something really cool afterwards also helps.

** The anime in general is this for many; the plot is messy, it all barely resembles ''Final Fantasy'' outside of a few franchise mainstays (with Chobi and Moogle Kupo even having prominent roles in the cast), and has a lot of characters who are either dumb or outright unlikeable. And yet, there is also enough hilariously bizarre plot twists, excessive action, and legitimately well written moments to make it all surprisingly enjoyable. The English dub adds to this with its voice acting that is a mix of both entertaining ''and'' gloriously hammy.

** Ai and Yu Hayakawa also count, as even if they are two of the main characters, they're never shown, or even can't, fight in a franchise where there exists {{Kid Heroes}} such as [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyIII The Onion Knights]], [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyIV Rydia]], and [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVI Relm]], among others.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation/FinalFantasy Here.]]

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Akai Kiri is easily one of the most popular characters in the series, despite only showing up in one episode of the anime proper.

* HilariousInHindsight: People complained about how long it took for Kaze to do a summon. With the summoning times of some of the other Final Fantasy games, his summoning time seems to barely register.
* HoYay: Implied when [[spoiler: Kumo brings Kaze back to the Comodeen... Bridal style.]]
* MemeticMutation: "The soil charge triad to use on you has been decided!" followed by the name of the soil ingredients of a summon.

* SnarkBait: A prime target, despite a few redeeming moments the anime overall has a bizarre almost nonsensical story populated with a mostly annoying cast of characters.

The plot is messy, it all barely resembles Final Fantasy, and has a lot of dumb often unlikeable characters; but there is also enough hilariously bizarre plot twists, excessive action, and legitimately well written moments to make it all surprisingly enjoyable. * AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Aura is portrayed in every way from MysteriousWaif to TheLadette in fanworks simply because she has so very little screen time. The way Kaze acts around Lou implies that the two of them are similar in some way, though.
** Finally, we're allowed to see a little bit of what Aura is like in Before, where she's shown as [[spoiler:a stubborn girl who's also kind and self-sacrificing]].
