* CharacterDerailment: "You Must Love Me" in TheMovie and subsequent productions makes Eva sympathetic rather than compelling towards the end. She goes from scheming and manipulating to being naive enough to believe that her husband isn't just staying with her because he couldn't dump someone who was dying.
** YourMileageMayVary on that last part. Some people are fond of the interpretation that Peron actually ''is'' in love with Eva.

* AdaptationDecay: TheMovie to some. Even though the critics liked it, fans felt they could have done better. TimRice also thought he could have done with less interference when it came to staging the album in London.
** Funny moment of adaptation decay: The song "Rainbow Tour" in the stage version contains the line "She's the new world Madonna with the golden touch". The movie version changed this line ... because it would have been too much like doing a TitleDrop of its star.
