* RetroactiveRecognition: Magellan's puppeteer/voice actor, Noel [=MacNeal=], would go on to be Bear's puppeteer/VA, as well as Leon's in Series/ThePuzzlePlace.
* TearJerker: A Meta-example: The story of a little girl who got to see the taping of an episode of the show, only to be absolutely crushed finding out that the characters she loved so much were only puppets. Creator/RLStine himself recounted the event:
-->Well, Here's a horrible story: We got a letter from this mother who's family was going to visit New York and their 9-year old daughter was this HUGE Eureeka's Castle fan. She asked if they could come to the studio and watch us tape a show. And the producer was like "yes you can." So the family comes to New York with the 9-year old daughter, they walk into the studio... the puppets are all rehearsing and the puppeteers are all walking around and the 9-year old daughter bursts into hysterical tears. They couldn't get her to stop for 10 minutes. She was crying her eyes out... because she thought they were real. She didn't know they were puppets. Can you imagine? And they couldn't get her to stop crying. Horrible, just horrible.

fan myopia with various series

* HilariousInHindsight:
** Slurms. Granted, they're claymation worms in this one but still ...
** In Emma's song "I Like to Eat", she burps to the tune of the Blue Danube Waltz, just like Wakko Warner would later do as "The Great Wakkarotti."
** This wouldn't be the last time that Jim Kroupa would voice a bat in a show with Noel [=MacNeal=] in a lead role; Kroupa would later voice Benny the Bat in the Series/BearInTheBigBlueHouse episode, "Bats are People Too".

* CommonKnowledge: It's not a Muppet production, despite its similarity to Series/SesameStreet (with a dash of Series/FraggleRock to boot), not to mention Pam "Grungetta" Arciero performing Quagmire and Brian "Barkley" Muehl doing Bogge and Mr. Knack. Also, one of the scriptwriters for the series was Louise Gikow, who penned a number of WesternAnimation/MuppetBabies and Fraggle children's books and had been a writer for Muppet Magazine as well; she also co-created Series/JohnnyAndTheSprites with current-generation Muppet performer John Tartaglia.

Not hilarious and probably not hindsight either

** Both Pam Arciero and Brian Muehl had performed Oscar the Grouch's girlfriend Grundgetta; in fact, Arciero had taken over the role after Muehl departed Sesame in 1984. To top it off, both of the moat twins bear a slight physical resemblance to Oscar the Grouch.

* CultClassic: While it never gained any mainstream attention after its run, the show has still managed to gain a (albeit almost nonexistent) following.
