** For those who like the original version of Webby, Webby's behavior in this episode is more in line with her original counterpart's AnnoyingYoungerSibling characterization. Namely, she antagonizes Dewey about having the idea of an Only Child Day and teases him about his solo host show.
** Launchpad also being revealed to be a Junior Woodchuck troop leader is reassuring to those who like his more competent side.

Characters have to appear to count as being wasted. It has to be about the episode itself.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Donald, Scrooge, Lena, and Beakley all would've had very good reasons for lecturing the triplets on the importance of family as well as respecting the individuality of a person, yet they never show up in the episode.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Some fans feel they were let down by the episode after the hype that the promos built up. There were multiple ways the episode could have turned out.
** Dewey's "secret" could have been something about the triplets' mother, and his argument with Huey and Louie could've revolved around that.
** Webby's rambling about an alternate dimension where the triplets are not brothers would've provided a cool adventuring episode.
** Lena's status as an only child (and being raised in a crappy family) is never brought up by anyone - not even Webby, who goes to the point of lecturing Dewey about how some kids would give anything to have a sibling.
** Donald's loss of his sister - and thus being forced to live an existence as an only child - is never brought up.
** Similarly, Scrooge's isolation from his family and his sisters is never brought up either.

Clean-up; there's no guarantee everyone who reads this page will know who Gideon Gleeful is

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: At the end when Webby was dancing to the Dewey Dew-Night theme song, was it because she was trying to mock Dewey or did she really think his talk show was cool?

* JerkassWoobie: Bouncer and Burger Beagle turn out to be this when it’s revealed that Big Time basically abuses them into obeying him. They’re still dangerous criminals, and have no qualms about kidnapping people, but it’s hard not to feel sorry for them after this episode.
* MoralEventHorizon: Doofus is not only a despicable brat, but he enslaves his parents and actually tries to kill Louie for wanting to leave him.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: In the original, Doofus Drake was a dork but still a good kid whom the nephews considered their friend. Here, he's a spoiled brat on par with Gideon Gleeful. Needless to say, some fans are ''not'' pleased. [[WordOfGod Frank Angones]] explained that they decided to change Doofus so much because [[CreatorsPest they weren't very fond of the original]], and believed that there are not that many fans of the character who would be offended by such a change.

Not funny, so not Narm.

* {{Narm}}: The bracelet is clearly large enough for Louie to just slip his hand out. It even stretches when Louie raises his hand.

These entries reek of alternate character interpatation. For the first one, it would be a little harsh to say that Webby only cared about herself. As for the second one, agian, I'm sensing some bais agianst Dewey and I'm not sure why wanting to have a day for himself is unsympathetic. Whatanidoit describe moments where characters act implusivly. Nither of these entries seem to fit that criteria.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Webby protests against Only Child Day, primarily because ''she'' doesn't want the boys to split up. This despite the fact that Dewey says it's only for a day. Sure, she also lectures Dewey about appreciating his siblings, but her primary reason for interfering with his plans is because Only Child Day affects ''her'' friendship with the boys. Long story short, Webby intervenes because she doesn't want Only Child Day to happen, rather than because it's better that the boys stick together.
** Also muddying the waters is when Dewey chides her for the fact that [[WhatTheHellHero she couldn't let him have his personal space and respect his wishes for one day]]. In "Daytrip of Doom!", he went out of his way to lecture his brothers about letting Webby tag along and accepting who she is as a person. To summarize, Webby's actions in this episode come off as a little selfish and hypocritical.
* WhatAnIdiot: Two examples.
** As mentioned before, the bracelet that Doofus uses to trap Louie is clearly big enough for Louie's wrist to slip out of.
** Huey decides to team up with the Beagle Boys and teach them Junior Woodchuck skills... all for the sake of a badge.

* CounterpartComparison:
** This incarnation of Doofus Drake has been getting comparisons to [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Gideon Gleeful]], both being [[CreepyChild creepy, spoiled kids]].
** He also shares some similiarities with [[Literature/HarryPotter Dudley Dursley]], being a spoiled, entitled, violent and overweight kid.
