* CriticalResearchFailure: A minor but rather jarring moment from the otherwise quite good film. When the script reads, "That's a Smith & Wesson, and you've had your six!", it's probably a good idea to make sure the man Bond is saying this to is holding a ''revolver''. Not a Colt M1911, one of the most recognisable ''semi-automatic pistols'' ever made and which almost everyone knows has a ''seven'' round magazine.

* DesignatedHero: Honey, who is consistently ranked as the "best Bond girl", but when you think about it, doesn't really say or do anything remarkable (her entrance aside). She certainly does far less than other Bond Girls on the "best" list, but seems to have earned her number one placement simply by virtue of being the first.
** Her lack of action is mostly down to the fact that she does not even show up until the 3rd and final act whether that justifies this trope or not is another matter and she still doesn't do all that much anyway, except give Bond an excuse to explain whats going on as well as someone to rescue.
** To be fair, she did look very good in that insanely iconic white bikini, and she has good chemistry with Bond.

* AnticlimaxBoss: Dr. No himself. He's defeated rather easily.

** Ursula Andress wears an obvious flesh colored towel in an attempt to increase the {{fanservice}} in her decontamination scene.
