* AllThereIsToKnowAboutTheCryingGame: The most famous spoiler from this movie - [[spoiler: Samuel L Jackson getting eaten alive halfway through a RousingSpeech]] - isn't even that relevant to the plot, or the climax.

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: That said, while the [=CGI=] is spotty at best, the animatronic sharks still look amazing even today.

* TheScrappy: Susan. Test audiences hated her so much they were shouting "Die bitch!" during the screenings. Saffron Burrows' DullSurprise performance doesn't help, making the character come off like TheSociopath. [[spoiler:The studio went back and reshot the ending just to kill her off.]] She would end up VindicatedByHistory by modern viewers, however.

* VindicatedByHistory: Susan was really hated during the show's airing that test audiences were cheering for her death. Latter viewers, however, noticed just how severe the Alzheimer's disease that she was fighting thus giving her grounds on how she was desperate with the illegal actions; and when she realized that everything was AllForNothing as she killed the second shark, she had a brief MyGodWhatHaveIDone moment and she finally pulled a HeroicSacrifice after telling Carter that it's OK to kill the shark, allowing the menace to finally end. In the end, modern viewers usually sees Susan as a BaseBreakingCharacter that could end up UnintentionallySympathetic.
