Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

** The aforementioned T-Rex has [[UpToEleven 3-4 times more health than Kaboomster]], is very damaging and can use Rampage ability, which targets up to 5 random targets, more often than not hitting the same target multiple times.

Removing the Walkthrough Mode.

* ThatOneBoss: The Ape Princess has about 10 times more health than all the previous bosses ''combined'', she hits absurdly hard, and her first move is always a spell that makes her mooks NighInvulnerable so long as she's still alive. Oh, and thanks to the battle system, she'll only get ''more'' powerful the longer the battle goes on. Have fun! She only starts doing insane damage, however, if you inflict the Insanity effect on her. There are two easy ways to get around this: The first - [[UselessUsefulSpell her mooks, while invulnerable to any standard attacks, aren't immune to the effects of poison]], which Umi should know by that point. The other way is to level grind until Cthulhu learns Pierce - which ignores defenses and allows you to do normal damage to them.

* BreatherBoss:
** Shoggoth is fairly easy when compared to other bosses, since the most danger comes from him poisoning the party, which can be negated with Regen All spell from Dacre and becomes completely non-threatening with Paws & Dacre's Vaccination Unity technique, which makes your party immune to poison and his Stun All attack.
** Ember is also not really dangerous, as his attacks don't do much damage, and his health can be depleted fairly quickly.

* ItsEasySoItSucks: Numerous players criticized this game for how enemies are very easy and AntiFrustrationFeatures take away most of the challenge, and they describe their experience as "mash the Enter key whenever you are in RandomEncounter, and use abilities only on bosses". There are Hard and Insane difficulties, but they seem to be mostly ignored.

** Monstrosities from the Space Ship have lots of health and they deal big amounts of damage. And when driven to insanity, they get a very powerful ability which allows them to deal massive damage to the entire party.
** Rainbow Eyes from Water Shrine have lots of health and huge defenses, and deal big amount of damage. They can also use Tentacles ability, which attacks 3 random targets, sometimes hitting the same target multiple time. And to make matters worse, they appear to assist other enemies in the same location, making them very frustrating to deal with.
** Snowkills, also from Water Shrine, have moderate amount of health and don't deal much damage, but they have huge agility and tend to appear in large groups. What prevents them from being GoddamnedBats, however, is the fact that they cannot be immediately destroyed all at once, and as result, they more often than not kill at least two of your party members before outspeeding the remaining ones and finishing them off.
** Kaboomsters have about 4 times more health than other enemies from the Volcano and they are capable of using the Kaboom! ability, which deals huge damage to your entire party. They also tend to be assisted by other enemies, including the T-Rex, another fellow DemonicSpider.
** The aforementioned T-Rex has [[UpToEleven 3-4 times more health than Kaboomster]], is very damaging and can use Rampage ability, which targets up to 5 random targets, more often than not hitting the same target multiple times.
** Deep Knights are the EliteMook versions of the Deep Ones, and they are an absolute pain to deal with. They appear in groups, deal lots of damage, have about 2500-3500 HP, and have strong defenses. And they have an UndergroundMonkey versions known as Deeper Knights, who are stronger and have more health.
** Coleopterouses have lots of health and can use the Starfall ability to deal damage to your entire party. They also tend to be partnered with many other enemies and tend to appear in groups.

* GoddamnedBats:
** In the first cave, Gulls are much quicker than every other enemy in the location and don't deal much damage, but they can be very annoying when faced in groups, especially when paired up with other, much harder enemies.
** Actual [[BatOutOfHell bats]] are fragile and don't deal much damage, but they tend to have higher agility than the player and have just a little more health to survive Flood spell from Umi. And they almost always appear in big groups, making them very annoying to deal with. And they have an UndergroundMonkey version! And another one in BonusDungeon!
** Soar Hearts, while not really good as fighters, possess the Heal All spell, which heals all enemies present. Of course, ShootTheMedicFirst!
** [[WillOTheWisp Will 'o Wisps]] lower your characters' agility, and are more often than not found in groups.
** Tentacles are also know for attacking your characters faster than they do, and they don't deal much damage. But there are lots of tentacles.
** Invaders also tend to move faster than your slower characters, and to make matters worse, when their allies die, they ''speed up''.
** Brainsquids are capable of stunning your characters, making the fights longer than needed.
** Sallies in the Ice Cave can ensnare your characters, unnecessarily prolonging the fights. And they tend to appear in groups.
* GoddamnedBoss: The Fallen Angel has a lot of health, and is able to restore it in huge amounts, starting with 5000 HP and increasing by 500 every turn. If you don't use combo moves, she'll be an absolute pain to beat. And don't even think about inflicting Insanity on her, as she will use the potentially dangerous Hurt All spell, which, if battle will last for too long, becomes a TotalPartyKill!

** Dagon is pretty easy for the DiscOneFinalBoss, as he can easily be stunlocked if you repeatedly kill his flunkies, which results in him constantly summoning new ones, allowing you to achieve easy victory.
** PlayedForLaughs with the rematch against [[GoldfishPoopGang the Three Heroes of Goodly Justice]]. They claim that after collecting the crystals of holy light, they have enough power to stop you. However, it turns out they are [[VillainForgotToLevelGrind exactly as strong as before]], allowing you to one-shot them.
** [[spoiler:Golthulhu]], the penultimate boss of the game, is also easy, as his attacks do little damage and by the time you face him, you'd probably have enough power to defeat him in 3-4 turns.

Bonus Bosses NEVER qualify as That One Boss, because they are supposed to be very brutal and powerful optional challenges.

The other way is to level grind until Cthulhu learns Pierce - which ignores defenses and allows you to do normal damage to them.
** The BonusBoss, if only because you need to do an absurd amount of damage in a very short amount of time. This is doable at 40+, but the boss is recruited once you beat him, and he's always at level 40. Going too high leaves him in the dust.
