They work on every enemy, including bosses and the final boss. This make's Gen's Paralyze All skill one of the best in the game, especially since you can easily restore her MP with the wish plants present in every battle and if you don't have her in the current battle party and get a surprise attack, you can switch her in regardless of who gets the first turn and guarantee she'll be able to cast the spell without being interrupted.

** If you are playing on Hard difficulty, the statues of Jupiter and Mercury (a.k.a. the very first boss fight,) can be this, due to their improved damage and with you still only having Aurora in the party.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: Another complaint some players and critics have towards the game is its rather brief length for an RPG. The game was intended to be longer, but unfortunately a lot of planned story content didn't make it into the game due to time constraints. The game's map shows several parts of Lemuria that aren't seen in the game.

* AntiClimaxBoss: The final boss has only one phase, and her minions are more dangerous than she is.
** Nox's dragon form can be a complete joke as it is incapable of not doing water damage, an element Genovefa already naturally resists. Equip Gen with a Brilliant Sapphire and Nox will be doing as much damage to her as the first enemy you encounter in the game. Not to mention that an elemental boss is an instant vulnerability to one of Finn's spells.

There are ways to get around this, though, such as slowing them so you're less likely to interrupt, or paralyzing them which prevents this from happening. On the other hand, many party members can learn their own interrupt counters.

* TheUntwist: The night queen being Aurora's stepmother isn't particularly hard to grasp for even slightly experienced players, though Aurora justifiably doesn't seem to know it until about halfway through. It's thankfully not treated as much of a reveal to our heroine, with most of the emphasis put on [[spoiler:Norah betraying Aurora's trust]] instead.
** You can even see the Queen of Night's face floating in the [[FisherKing thunder storm]] early in the game. She may be wearing a crown now, but the [[HighCollarOfDoom giant, feathered collar]] from the intro makes her [[PaperThinDisguise easy to identify]].
