** Arun from Season 5. He was ''not'' liked by most viewers at first, especially during the fifth episode when he displayed blatantly sexist behavior toward his wife and nearly caused about a half-dozen accidents in the lane changing rally. However, the news that fellow contestant Crystal's brother-in-law had been killing in a motoring accident later in that episode really seemed to shake him up, and after that he took rehab a lot more seriously, started behaving more reasonably toward his wife, and became the season's final graduate.

Chris and Shirley are more Took A Level In Badass, since they were generally well-liked in their original seasons despite being terrible drivers

* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: Two examples in Season 8 -- Klyne started out looking like another young driver who didn't give a crap about improving, in the same mould as Colin or Scott, but he took the rehab process seriously and ended up being the third person to graduate. In fact, he could have been the ''first'' person to graduate, but actually turned the opportunity down, feeling that he still had a lot more to learn. Also from that season, Margherita was probably the worst driver (other than Kevin) in the first half of the season, but took the lessons on-board and improved significantly over the course of the season, eventually becoming the penultimate graduate.
** Chris Ferguson. Scrappy from Season 1, BadassNormal success in Canada's Worst Driver Ever
** To a lesser degree than Chris, Shirley Sampson. Canada's Worst Driver in Season 7, she came back to rehab in season 9 and passed all three challenges in episode 2, far exceeding all of the others (including the person she "beat" for the title, Sly), and becoming the second graduate.

* BadassDecay: In Season 8, Flora seemed to be one of the better drivers initially, and both viewers and the show's judges alike predicted that as soon as her husband Frank stopped acting like a {{Jerkass}} BackseatDriver, she'd massively improve and quickly graduate. Unfortunately, her performances actually got ''worse'' as the season progressed, and seemed to show no real correlation as to how Frank behaved or whether he was even in the car, resulting in her being named the joint-worst for the season alongside Kevin.

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: During the Season Five water-tank challenge:
--> '''Sergeant Cam Wooley:''' This is rapidly turning into a Wet T-Shirt Contest!
--> '''A thoroughly ''soaked'' Mike Butt:''' I've never been on this end of a wet T-Shirt Contest!
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: Some of the drivers are nominated by their verbally abusive spouses. The hosts will point out to them how much of a detriment they are to their driving spouses, and they actually turn around their own behaviors. Sometimes, the epiphany is a TearJerker: one verbally abusive spouse (considered the worst they'd had on the show) went on a drive with the host with his own verbal abuse being played back at him during the drive. The man was absolutely crushed to realize how bad he was and made a conscious effort to change. His wife's driving performance (to say nothing of their relationship) improved drastically.
* NightmareFuel:
** This show only accepts legally valid drivers. In other words, ''all contestants have valid driving licenses and are insured.'' How these people even managed to get their license is remarkable.
** The "insured" part became important during season 6--Scott's unwillingness to learn caused his roommate and nominator Danny (who paid for Scott's insurance) to become fed up, verbally rip Scott a new one, and cancel the policy.
** In the third episode of Season 7, it was pointed out that all of the contestants had confessed to having driven distracted. So, they set up their "easiest" course ever ... made harder by intentionally making the contestants drive while subjecting themselves to distractions (such as food, and the classic "texting while driving"). The results were predictable, but got downright scary when Tab almost made the old 1950's car roll over on styrofoam.
*** This doubles as a TearJerker because when they finished they had to have a conversation with Aaron (who, six years prior, was nearly killed by a distracted driver) - in said conversation they had to look Aaron in the eye and promise to never drive distracted again. Everybody cried.
** In season 8, during the Eye of the Needle challenge, Flora lost control, going off the road at around 120 kilometers per hour (around 80 miles per hour). As a result, the car she was driving went into a sideways skid, going for at least 25 feet. If she had hit an uneven patch of ground, she could have easily flipped her car.

** Angelina from Season 5 is also really bad to the point where she tries a reversing challenge while drinking a coffee without a lid. When she is forced to drop it, she wouldn't shut up about how upset she was. Also, her driving is horrendously bad to the point that her nominee admitted that she tended to crash ''all the time'' and Angelina was convinced that she did well on some challenges where she nearly destroyed them. No wonder she 'won'.
