** Pango and Croque ended up being his least popular villagers in his New Leaf LP, however many also feel he unfairly chose them as the designated bad guys of the village after bad first impressions and at times had to bend over backwards to keep that narrative going. To anyone that knows how the Animal Crossing games, his treatment of them is actually very unfair, as what the villagers have as catchphrases are meant to be Verbal Tics with no ill intent, and other things that they say are not only random, but can easily be seen in a nicer context. He even brings up the random dialogue in regard to Pango in episode 40, saying that he didn't want to talk about that aspect too much in order to keep the "sitcom" feel of the series intact by making the animals seem real. Even taking this into account that one is supposed to treat the villagers with established personalities, some still feel he treated them a bit unfairly, as he seemed to be intentionally twisting whatever they said to be as negative as possibleFor example, Croque mistakes him for a ghost after he returns from his long absence in Welcome Amiibo and begs him to leave him alone, and Chuggaa interprets this as Croque wishing death on him. Before that, Pango writes him a letter asking if he'd like to hang out with her and Chuggaa jumps to the conclusion that she's trying to mug him., on several occasions even shooting Croque down or not acknowledging it whenever he actually said something nice or attempted to befriend Emile. Towards the end of the series, however, he did come to accept Croque's catchphrase as just something he says without any ill intent.

Not really an example, since 1) it's Chugga discussing the topic, not something within the work and 2) it's not really about Moral Event Horizon, but more about him taking the conflict seriously rather than Bowser being irredeemable.

** In VideoGame/Super Mario Galaxy 2, the somewhat infamous subject of the game's once-planned story being scrapped with Miyamoto's counsel is brought up on multiple occasions, with Chuggaa voicing a distaste for the sequel being a somewhat confusing plot-light reboot of the first game. However, on one occasion, Chuggaa mentions that the original story plan for 2 would have focused on how Lubba met Rosalina. While this certainly makes a lot of sense as Lubba is the main new character and the closest thing to an equivalent for Rosalina - who was the subject and narrator of the first game's storybook - and their relationship is hinted at but remains mysterious in the final game, no in-detail source about what 2's story could have entailed seems to have surfaced over the years, let alone how Lubba could have factored in.This one, notably, is likely a matter of inconclusive research, as mention of such a concept was added to Super Mario Wiki's own unused content page for the game all the way back in 2012, and has remained without a known source since.

This sparked major debate. One faction claims Chugga was within his right to do this, especially as he substantiated his view through DummiedOut content and evidence in the game's internal files. Other fans believe the game's ending was intended to be up to interpretation and Chugga should have left the ambiguity intact, and that Chugga was presenting his headcanon as fact by adding the text. The arguments hadn't died down by the end of his NewGamePlus videos, as Chugga had to address the issue again when he reached the ending for the second time. For what it's worth, , throwing the debate if in the foray again, though it doesn't necessarily contradict Chugga's assertion that .

* IronWoobie: Chugga may be an unbreakable ball of optimism, but his life has been rough. As early as his birth, he had to deal with an abusive father who prioritized drugs and alcohol over his own family, and even after cutting his father out of his life, he still did everything he could to demonize Chugga. In school, he was consistently bullied for being a nerd, and his teachers had little faith in him that he'd make anything out of himself. Come the start of his [=YouTube=] career, and he suffered from depression, which he tried his hardest to mask, social anxiety, which caused him to wear a mask in public for a couple years, and suicidal tendencies, which he could only cope with due to GallowsHumor. Even as his [=YouTube=] career went further along and he progressively became happier, he had to deal with a life-threatening ear infection, a traumatic experience that caused him to abandon video games for a month, facing his demons by revisiting his father who hadn't changed, and the death of one of his most beloved family members who he wasn't able to visit in time. If he wasn't as lucky as he is, Chugga might've become a very different person.

Everyone dies eventually. From what I can tell, this was not related to the cause or timing of death, so it's just mortality.

* DesignatedVillain: Some fans felt as though Chugga went a bit overboard in making Wally come across as antagonistic in his Pokémon Emerald LP just for the sole reason of him getting a Ralts from Norman for free, when most fans agree that Wally is an IronWoobie. The fact that the LP was two years before Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire also didn't help matters, as Wally's character was more fleshed out by those games and retroactively made it seem like Chugga was demonizing Wally for unjustified reasons.
