An ominous chorus plays throughout this scene, and we see a flashback of all the time Marin and Melan have spent together right before Melan delivers what he intends to be the final blow with his laser gun. Keep in mind that Marin is completely blind throughout all of this...]] Not to mention the fact that the way the episode ends [[spoiler: leads you to believe he didn't miss.]]

Melan saves her just in time.]] For a seemingly lighthearted show, this was a very dark moment.
