Their first revival show would show up within six years.

** The scene where the duo [[NauseaFuel fry a mouse]] in ''Burger World'' is this in light of the scandal at KFC with a piece that resembled a fried rat.
** While watching the video for "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" by Slash's Snakepit, Beavis and Butt-Head see Eric Dover (of Music/{{Jellyfish}}) and immediately ponder "what happened to Axl," thinking it's a Music/GunsNRoses video. As it would turn out, the situation with the real Guns N' Roses would become [[IAmTheBand quite the]] [[RevolvingDoorBand opposite]].

** Apparently, Beavis and Butt-Head joined the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SF5Yiz3qTQ Me Too movement]] before it even existed.
** In "No Laughing", Buzzcut, who's teaching sex ed that week at Beavis and Butt-Head's school, gets in Beavis and Butt-Head's faces and screams the names of various reproductive parts and topics related to sex. In the second episode of Judge's [[WesternAnimation/KingOfTheHill next show]], Peggy is hired to teach sex ed and struggles to so much as mumble those words in private, let alone scream them.
** In [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erIQhwr2bOY their critique]] for Music/{{Korn}}'s "Blind," Beavis has an incredibly unhinged moment where he makes himself dizzy and starts giving this ''incredibly'' articulate (for him, anyway) review of Korn's music, unfavorably comparing it to other bands from the time like Music/SuicidalTendencies and Music/WhiteZombie. It's strange to think that Korn were ''ever'' seen as derivative, since history has firmly solidified them as one of, if not the, pioneers of NuMetal, for better or for worse.

* GrowingTheBeard: In early episodes, the duo didn't go through the range of jokes as later seasons, and most of the time they were just playing pranks or causing all around mischief. When the show started to get popular (and when MTV got scared that kids may be imitating the duo's destructive behavior), their personalities changed into the way most people recognize them now by. Of course, this made everything a hell of a lot funnier.
** Which is funny, because their earlier music video reviews were very little except jabs or praise for the band/artist. Their later reviews had a more intellectual insight, implying that the characters are savants.

* AcceptableProfessionalTargets:
** Like its sister show, ''WesternAnimation/KingOfTheHill'', people in the military are rarely depicted in a positive light. Buzzcut is a violent, abusive sociopath. Tom Anderson is a loser. A {{revival}} episode had a military officer bluntly say they accept dropouts and delinquents and were too incompetent to notice the titular characters sneaking into a restricted area and piloting a drone.
** Police officers in this show tend to either be very incompetent or very trigger happy with no in-between.

* JerkassWoobie: Beavis; he's rude, stupid, selfish, perverted, and extremely hot-headed, but he's also subject to countless abuse from his only friend Butt-Head, is secretly very insecure about himself (especially his inability to "score"), and one segment from the 2011 series implies that he was apparently molested as a kid.

** One might think Sterculius, the Roman god of feces, was something Judge made up. Not so. There really was a Sterculius, or at least the Romans thought so. He's more often called the god of fertilizer or god of fertilization in English, but "god of feces" is not at all inaccurate.
** Some viewers might consider the yogurt shop in "Yogurt's Cool" not being a 'participating location' to be a bit of an Ass Pull to spur the title characters to vandalize the shop, but it's actually not at all unusual in RealLife for certain states' franchisees of stores like [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dairy_Queen#Texas_Country_Foods Dairy Queen]][[note]] in Texas[[/note]] or [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7-Eleven#United_States 7-Eleven]][[note]] in Oklahoma[[/note]] to have their own exclusive menus, promotions, etc. separate from the rest of the country.
