* WinBackTheCrowd: With base breaking going on for most of the 2014 summer over lack of LGBT representation, the reveal that Crow had a girlfriend was met quite well.

** Wrathia can get pretty close physically to Ava, sometimes while both are in their naked spirit forms.

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: Despite the supposed point of the story being Ava helping Wraitha reunite the demons together to take on TITAN, readers have pointed out that despite everything ''nobody'' likes Ava at all (some fans even consider it to be increasingly contrived) and she is no closer to even getting one person on her side after several years worth of pages making her quest seem pointless. Her recent moral event horizon moment has done little to help the fandom's apathy.

* EsembleDarkhorse: Merita, Crow's girlfriend. She is not noly an amazingly sweet cute girl who is responsible for being Crow's CutenessProximity, she also composes one of the few characters of the entire comic to not have tried murdering, torturing or attacking anyone.

** Before he became a demon, Tuls [[spoiler:was a guard serving a Princess that [[BodyguardCrush he fell in love with.]] His side of the pact involves seeing her one final time and finally confessing his feelings. Even if that means he will be rejected. Being the demon of Maggie certainly adds to the woobie factor as well.]]

She's spent years trying to make her webcomic, and while popular, it has made her open to harassment, DDOS attacks, and vicious messages from the more Tumblr-minded (unstable) members of her fanbase who lunge at her for almost any little slight (such as being accused of acephobia due to ONE scene of an obviously villainous (or at least jerkish character) virgin shaming another), having to delete her Tumblr account and losing her deviantart account due to another controversy. It's a wonder she continues the comic at all, given how ungrateful and outright abusive some members of her readership are.

** The author saying that there were no asexual characters after a certain character was called a virgin as an insult caused some controversy in the fandom, which [[WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings ended up in the author deleting her tumblr blog after heaps of harassment for her supposed acephobia]].[[note]]The author stated that she didn't know enough about asexuality to have an ace character and would need to do some research in order to accurately portray asexuality in the comic[[/note]]
** The censoring of the comic in order to appeal to publishers has broken the base quite a bit.

* DracoInLeatherPants: Many fans believe that Maggie isn't as bad of a person as the comic presents her as, despite the fact that Maggie has been shown to be nothing but a violent and petty {{Jerkass}}. Furthermore, fans like to think of Maggie and Ava as their FanPreferredCouple, even though Maggie has tried to kill Ava on two separate occasions and talks badly about her at every opportunity.

* FanPreferredCouple: Ava and Maggie. Odin and Ava has a growing fan base.

** Maggie being willing to kill [[spoiler:Ava and Odin]] because the later refused to apologize to her for kidnapping her even though his actions saved her life. She's even angry when she discovers they survived the crash and then tries to convince Gil into sending Ava and Odin to the authorities.

* {{Narm}}: If it was supposed to be taken seriously in the first place, the intro has Wrathia making Ava scribble "FUCK U AVA U FAT BITCH" on a page. It's really difficult to take seriously.
** Though the [[http://www.avasdemon.com/pages.php?page=0001 update of this panel]] is a bit more eerie with the rhyme "Die in a fire, Ava Ire" which brings on a more dark and less unintentionally comical atmosphere.

** The exclusion of aromantic/asexual characters caused some controversy in the fandom, which [[WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings ended up in the author deleting her tumblr blog]].
